I stayed here with my parents, my sister and her husband, and my two young nephews. It was more than enough space for us. This is a wonderful home with stunning views, a lovely pool, and just a short walk away from miles of uncrowded and beautiful beaches. The ocean view was stunning, with tide pools for my young nephews to enjoy right from the back yard - they spent hours playing in the pool and on the shore! Carla was a gracious host and helped me plan our family vacation exactly as I pictured. There was someone who cleaned every day (including doing our laundry) and we had a chef come for several meals, which made for an even more luxurious experience. Not to mention, they were very accommodating of my vegan diet! Once in a lifetime vacation experience.

My family group of 11 people had a wonderful stay at Casa Stella Rose over the holidays recently. The house is truly stunning in every way and Carla couldn't have been more helpful while we planned our trip as well as during our stay. The house was large enough for everyone to sleep comfortably and have space to themselves, but also to spend lots of family time together. The pool is great and the views are spectacular. Great sunsets every night! The cleaning staff was also wonderful for both the house itself as well as the grounds and pool. Highly recommended, we can't wait to go back!

My family of 8 just came home from a week in paradise! We packed in so many fun activities and can't thank our host, Carla, enough.Rafael and his team took us all over the country! He showed us monkeys in the trees and anteaters crossing the roads! We had fabulous meals at Barumis, Lola's, and Manta. We had Chef Lila and her team make 3 breakfasts and 4 dinners in our home. The food was unbelievably delicious. You have to try her chocolate cake!Carla arranged for all our activities: La Leona Waterfall, shopping and lunch in Tamarindo, massages in the home, and ziplining! The boys ended up cancelling golf the last day so we could enjoy the home and beach steps away. We take trips every spring as a family and we all agreed - this was the best trip yet!! Everyone had their own bedroom and bath. The decor is updated and the kitchen came fully stocked with everything you need. We sent Carla a grocery list ahead of time and she got everything we asked for!!The housekeepers were there daily and did all our laundry as needed.I can't think of a single thing I would change.Absolutely perfect!!!

Amazing First Trip to Costa Rica

Casa Stella was the perfect home for a family trip. We loved the views. Carla planned all our activities. The catamaran sunset, ATV Tour, and horseback riding on the beach were fantastic. Breath Taking Sunsets

this house was incredible. feels like its brand new! absolutely amazing sunset views. super cool beach that you can walk down to right behind the house and snorkel at at low tide (bring water shoes) horsed walk right the back yard, pool is amazing, host was amazing, 5 min walk to playa negra, house is wonderfully stocked with all kitchen utensils and needs. its just wonderful overall, would certainly stay here again. thank you for a wonderful time with our family!!

Our Playa Negra Vacay

This is a gorgeous, almost new home. It has five on suite bedrooms, we had three separate family groups and we all stayed here with plenty of room and comfort. It is exceptionally clean. There are beautiful 360 degree views that include sunsets over the ocean, an infinity pool that also looks out over the ocean, wild horses that come and graze in the yard, it is truly magical. Fantastic coffee shops, restaurants and beaches near by. A truly memorable time. Thank you Carla!

Fantastic stay at Stella Rose

We had a great Thanksgiving family trip to Playa Negra. The house is right on the beach with great views of the beach and sunset. The sandy beach was just a short walk down the beach for the kids to enjoy…it’s a little rocky right out front but the kids liked looking for shells and starfish in the tide pools. Our host (Carla) was super helpful organizing zip line tours and a fun catamaran excursion out of Playa Flamingo. She also helped setup a chef that cooked some great local cuisines for the family. The house was very comfortable and well decorated and had everything we needed for our trip. Hope to make it back soon. Pura Vida!

Costa Rica Christmas

We had a fabulous week with our family celebrating Christmas in Costa Rica! CasaStella Rose is a phenomenal property with incredible views, lovely outdoor spaces and a large living area . Our family of 12 thoroughly enjoyed it. Carla, the property manager, handled so many details for us from dining reservations to booking a beautiful catamaran cruise for us on Christmas Day ! She also arranged for deep sea fishing trips, a hiking adventure and horseback riding on the beach. It was an unforgettable vacation made extra special by Carla’s attention to detail . We hope to return in the future.

Can I give MORE than 5 stars? :)

As I get older, I try to create experiences with my family rather than buy things so that we can spend quality time together and make lasting memories. Well, this trip did not disappoint! First, the planning was a breeze thanks to Carla! She handled all of the arranging for me, I just had to make decisions on dates, times, and packages for the amenities. We had an in-home chef for breakfast and dinner (who was absolutely AMAZING!!! Thank you, Joyia, you were one of the highlights of our trip!). Carla arranged for in-home massages for ALL NINE OF US and she recommended a Catamaran cruise that was unanimously the favorite part of the trip. The house itself is everything you see in the pictures. We had 9 people and so much space. The floorplan of the home means everyone has their own private bathrooms and plenty of common space to hang out. The pool is fantastic and the sunset views are breathtaking! I cannot recommend Carla and the Stella Rose house enough. My family is already asking when we can go back!

Our unforgettable stay at Casa Stella Rose

Our stay at Casa Stella Rose was nothing short of spectacular. Our host, Carla, was outstanding and truly elevated our experience beyond what we ever expected from a regular VRBO. She made everything incredibly easy, organizing every detail of our trip with perfection. From arranging a private chef to booking an amazing sunset catamaran cruise (highly recommend), Carla handled it all seamlessly. She also took care of our airport transfers and car rentals, allowing us to relax and enjoy our vacation from the moment we arrived. Carla made sure that our entire family was taken care of, we had a lot of questions prior to arriving and she always answered promptly and made us feel at ease. By the end of our stay, Carla felt like a dear friend. She is INCREDIBLE! The house itself is absolutely stunning. Every detail is meticulously thought out, and the views of the ocean are unparalleled. Casa Stella Rose is, without a doubt, the nicest house we’ve ever stayed in. The house was stalked with every essential to make you feel right at home. We truly did not want to leave. I can’t forget to mention Jami who came daily to clean and tighty up. She was also incredible. We highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a luxurious and hassle-free vacation. Just make sure to stay long enough to fully appreciate it, or you’ll feel very sad when it’s time to go. We can’t wait to go back!

A Blissful Retreat at Stella Rose - Our Home Away from Home

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Stella Rose, a remarkable new property in the Playa Negra, and it instantly became our favorite home away from home. Our experience at this breathtaking location was nothing short of fabulous. We are well-acquainted with Playa Negra, having frequented this location multiple times as a group. We traveled with 4 couples and found the configuration to be ideal. The interior was impressive, exuding comfort & style. The kitchen was well stocked, & the dining room hosted our group perfectly. Each bedroom suite was well appointed, offering a luxurious feel & comfortable bed. The attention to detail, furnishings, & cleanliness contributed to the overall charm. The outdoor space deserves special mention, as it proved to be the perfect oasis. Offering the most magical panoramic views, the pool area became our go-to spot whether basking in the sun, serving as our a.m. exercise deck or enjoying a refreshing dip. The porch space was thoughtfully designed, providing us with multiple private havens to enjoy coffee, the balmy evenings, & starlit nights. Our stay was made even more delightful by the exceptional hospitality of Carla, our gracious host. With a warm welcome & attentive assistance, she curated our itinerary, arranging restaurant reservations, in-home dinners, & an amazing sunset sail. Her dedication to ensuring a perfect balance of activities added a personal touch to our experience, making our time at Stella Rose truly memorable.

OUTSTANDING HOME! ! PHENOMENAL HOST!

First!! I can not speak highly enough of the host Carla! She truly made the trip easy, fun and was extremely helpful planning transportation, fun day trips and private chef! Joya the chef was also incredible! The house itself is about 1.5 hrs from the airport. Carla arranged a private van to pick us up! The house GOLD STAR! Practically brand new! Lavish furnishings and very clean. Housekeeping came to tidy up and wash dishes. The pool is over looking the beautiful ocean and the sunsets each night were some of the best we have ever seen! We travel a lot. We slept 8 people comfortably but the house can easily sleep more. Beds felt amazing. House has surround sound, tv and good WiFi! Bring water shoes for the beach area. There is sand but if you want to play in the water or look for aquatic life you’ll want the shoes. There are several close restaurants within walking distance. We ordered pizza one day and they delivered. We did a day trip to the volcano. Had a blast! I just can’t express enough how amazing this home is in person. All of the pictures do not do it justice. All of the home has water filtered so you can drink it. Kitchen well stocked. Beach towels provided. This trip was 10/10!! Our family will definitely be returning to playa Negra.

Stunning Home! And the views.....

I can’t say enough good things about our stay at Casa Stella Rosa and our time in and around Playa Negra. As we walked into Casa Stella, we were blown away by the unparalleled, jaw dropping, breathtaking view, I can’t even find words to describe how amazing it is. The house is designed to maximize it and every room has THE view. The house itself ticks every box. Huge gourmet kitchen, beautiful well appointed bedrooms and bathrooms, amazing salt water infinity pool you can lounge in while staring at the Pacific ocean. Some of our favorite things to do at the house were watching the sunset from the deck each night and checking out the stars from the star deck at night. Carla, the house manager, is great. You can reach out to her for anything you need, from arranging transportation to booking excursions to organizing a private chef or massages at the house. Everything she booked for us was top notch and exceeded our expectations. Playa Negra is amazing. The beach is beautiful. We went for a 6 mile walk one morning and barely saw another sole, except for the surfers at the break at Playa Negra Surf Hotel and the wild horses. It’s heaven on earth. I don’t think it’s possible to have a bad meal in Playa Negra. Definitely check out Corazon, it has amazing coffee and breakfast and has started doing an awesome smoked barbecue for dinner. Another favorite was Soulshine for a late breakfast, the Shakshuka is to die for as is the Rise and Shine with breakfast tapas.

AMAZING house, location, experience!

Along with two other families, my husband and our two kids (for a total of 12 guests) stayed at Casa Stella Rosa between Christmas and New Year's, and we couldn't have asked for a better house, locale, property manager, or overall experience. The house is the real deal; everything is brand new and top-notch. High-end AC, lighting, security, and sound systems--along with amenities like the pool, outdoor areas, and daily maid service--make it feel like a stay in a luxury hotel. Thanks to sweeping views of the ocean, the sunsets (always magnificent in CR) are simply unforgettable. We esp. loved the 3rd floor crows' nest for drinks/sunsets and late-night star-gazing. Carla, the house manager, was INCREDIBLE--from our first moment of contact until she came to hug us goodbye the day we flew home. She arranged chefs, a catamaran, horseback riding, surfing lessons, in-house massages--and responded promptly to every single inquiry, including a last-minute request for a TV to watch bowl games. EVERY experience she booked exceeded expectations, esp. the catamaran and surfing lessons. The beach access is direct, but note that you need to manage the tides and rockiness. Once you do, you're within minutes of Hotel Playa Negra (where we often went for smoothies, drinks, meals) and the surrounding beaches and surf. It's easy! I could go on, but there is a character limit, so I'll just say everything about our experience was first-rate. Could not recommend Casa Stella Rosa more!
