As you can see in the reviews, all other guests visiting us have enjoyed their stay in the house. It is strange that you perceived our listing so different from everyone else (I also have a long streak as Superhost with this listing on the most successful online platform). Regarding the pictures we have brought in an interior designer to improve decorations to a more modern clean Scandinavian look, but I am sorry if the changes did not please you. Between every group of guests our cleaner spends a stiff four hours cleaning every corner of the house (this of course also covers the table and the chairs). It is obvious that you found our place so clean that you had to resort to complaining about dirty plants (based on your complaint on the plants, I subsequently took every plant in the house outside for thorough cleaning with the garden hose and this was on your arrival day). The 65 inch HD QLED replacement TV was put in place on the same afternoon as you arrived. You had access to five bedrooms between the two of you, but I would certainly have provided access to the children's room if you had asked. As you say the washing machine and the dryer are located in the basement. The basement has lamps and we clean it regularly to keep it as pleasant as possible, but since it's an old villa there are limits to what we can improve (changing the height of the basement ceilings is not one of the improvements that we can make). All towels and linen are 100% cotton and all were bought new only a year before your arrival. I have not been to other listings offering higher quality linen (possibly they are worn a bit faster since we wash beddings and towels in at least 60 degrees celsius to ensure they are 100% clean).The handle to our quality Miele freezer was accidentally broken by a guest and we spent a considerable sum on a spare handle to replace it. Unfortunately the spare did not fit properly and subsequently broke. Luckily the freezer is easy to open also without a handle until the new spare arrives. The garden mostly consists of lawn, so I am surprised to hear that you think there are too many weeds. Some people, like you, are impossible to please despite every possible effort (As a gesture of hospitality, I even drove to the store to buy you portable fans since you complained about the heat inside and outside!). In order to avoid making yourselves and others miserable, I believe that your best option forward would be a newly built luxury hotel. Still I wish you all the best!

Merci beaucoup, Yohan, and thank you for the kind review! Just to clarify for future guests: the main part of the house is entirely yours during your stay. There is a smaller apartment in the building, but it has its own separate entrance and its own spaces, so nothing is shared. Since it is a residential area with another unit in the building, we simply ask guests to keep noise down in the evenings. We’re glad you enjoyed the location, and you’re welcome back anytime!
