Modern homely flat with beautiful natural light and high ceilings In the epicentre of Londons history.
5min from all the major museums,
1min from South Kensington tube station.

Bars, cafes and restaurants all around
and 10-15min walk from Hyde Park.
Saturdays they have a market in Sloane square (Duke or Yorkshire Square) 15min walk from the apartment.

In South Kensington there’s a small farmers market on Bute Street just off Old Brompton Road.

Fantastic family stay!

The flat was perfect for our family of 4 for a week of exploring all that London had to offer. Great location right next to tube stop, shops, restaurants, and museums. Flat was clean and well-equipped, and owner was helpful and easy to communicate with. Highly recommend!

Great apartment in perfect location!

The apartment is located in a great area with lots of shops and restaurants and steps to South Kensington Tube Station. The apartment was very clean and nicely renovated with very modern kitchen and bathrooms. The host was very good at communicating during booking, check in and during our stay. We would definitely stay again! Just to address a couple previous comments…the stairs were not bad at all (I’m 60) and there are blackout shades on all the windows so no issue with light coming in or privacy.

1 Week in London

Great property. Spacious and well layed out. Perfect kitchen facility with all top notch equipment and appliances. Excellent access to the V&A and local museums and Kensington Park, Royal Albert Hall and right across the street from South Kensington Tube Station. Everything worked and we were happy overall.

Great Flat in a great location

Our family of 4 spent a week in this apartment and we were all very happy with our choice. The flat was very clean and bright. Very nice bathrooms and comfortable King sized beds in both bedrooms. The location was perfect for touring all over London. South Kensington tube station was right around the corner and there was a black cab stand right there as well. Highly recommend the flat and we would choose it again if we get the opportunity to visit London again.

Super convenient

We loved our stay. The tube is literally around the corner and the flat was spacious, clean, nicely furnished and surrounded by pastry shops, restaurants and pubs, not to mention the easy access to Kensington Park and several top tier museums. The stairs are no joke, and you do get some street noise, but we didn’t mind. Host was very responsive and pleasant. Good water pressure too! Were very pleased with our choice! Thanks Dario!

Lovely apartment

It is in a beautiful, bustling neighborhood in South Kensington right across the street from the tube station. There are wonderful restaurants and food stores just a few blocks away. Easy walk to Hyde and Kensington Parks. The apt was clean and very comfortable. The kitchen and bathrooms are new and it was nicely decorated. The steps seemed daunting, but we managed just fine and we are in our 70’s! I would highly recommend

We really liked the location and the apartment. The only advice is to list in the advertisement that there is no elevator. It was rough dragging our luggage up all the flights of stairs. Wish the keys to the apartment had been easier to find as well as we didn’t see in the listing what the apartment number was.

Nice stay

Love the property along with amenities and central to top attractions. I was really surprised to know that the property has 6 plight of stairs. I y was not mentioned in the listing and was not told until the day before check-in. I will not suggest this accommodation for people who have medical conditions and elderly.

Great location, good apartment

My friend and I stayed five nights in Dario’s third floor apartment, in a centrally located neighborhood between Kensington and Chelsea. The location was great across the street and down from the South Kensington underground, and surrounded by cafés, pubs, and restaurants. There is no lift but the stairs are manageable, but maybe not for everyone. The apartment was spotless and the beds comfortable. There was some street noise in the main bedroom. There could’ve been a few more towels and bath mats, but the kitchen was well-stocked with all the basics. Overall, we really enjoyed our stay and we highly recommend it.

Well-furnished and comfortable

This is a very nice apartment in the busy and fun neighborhood of S. Kensington. As the photo indicates, it is right across from the S. Ken tube station with access to the Piccadilly, District and Circle lines. The quality of the furnishings was good, the beds are both king size (two twins pushed together but that worked well) and very comfortable. Kitchen has the basics, as well as a nice little Nespresso coffee maker, but with the excellent coffee shops in the neighborhood you may find you don't use it much. I was there for 4 weeks, with family joining me for the last three, and we had a terrific time. There are 6 flights of stairs - 65 steps - so be ready for that. Dario is a responsive host and took care of a couple of issues that cropped up. Highly recommended.

Great home base for exploring London

Our family of four (2 adults, 2 teens) stayed here for over a week while exploring London and surrounding areas. Like other reviews have mentioned, the South Kensington location is super convenient. Steps to the tube station with three lines to access all areas, quick walk to many museums, easy walk to Hyde and Kensington Parks, and so many cafes and restaurants in the neighborhood. There are also a few grocery stores and pharmacies within a couple blocks, which we did need to visit to get shampoo/conditioner/soap for the showers. The 60 something steps up to the flat were no joke, but very doable and we felt like we got our exercise at the end of each day! The host Dario gave us good suggestions in the neighborhood and instructions in getting the key in his welcome email, and he was responsive when a couple things came up. He also made sure that the king bed in the second bedroom was separated into two twin beds for our kids, as we had requested in advance. Having a washer/dryer in the flat was convenient to use halfway through our trip, but note that it was a bit confusing to use and took much longer than expected to complete the cycles. The flat was spacious, comfortable and suited us well for an extended stay. The building entrance and stairwells did feel a bit worn/dirty and had an odor, but the flat itself was clean. Overall, great stay and I'd recommend staying here to others.

Great location for your London stay

This apartment in South Kensington is a gem. First off, it’s in a great location. Steps from the tube and tons of restaurants, pubs and shops. That said, you do have some street noise. There also was a homeless person sleeping outside the building first day. But he was gone the following day after the police were called. (We didn’t call the police.) We’re from a big city so the homeless person didn’t faze us. Be warned that there are three flights of stairs to reach the apartment, so you do get some exercise. But once inside, the place is clean and spacious. Our son had his own bedroom and bathroom. The master bedroom is large and has tons of closet space. The bed was very comfortable and we are very picky. Each bedroom also had a fan, which was great to keep air circulating even though it wasn’t too hot. The bathrooms and kitchen look to be recently renovated. The showers are slow to drain but that may be due to the age of the building. The living room gets tons of natural light. The host was responsive but we didn’t have any issues. Overall, a great place to stay when visiting London.

Lovely flat in an excellent location

Loved staying at this spacious and well-equipped flat. Less than 2 minutes walk to South Kensington tube station, which is serviced by Circle, District and Piccadilly lines, meaning you hardly ever have to change trains. Supermarkets are a short walk away. The host was responsive and helpful. A bit of a ‘treasure hunt’ involved in checking in, which some people might find a bit tricky. Quite a few stairs to carry luggage up, but otherwise everything was easy. Would definitely stay here again if we come back to London. Recommended!

Awesome location, great flat with some caveats

The apartment is large and overall in good condition. The location is fantastic, minutes away (walking) from some of the best museums in London, at the crossroad of several bus and tube lines so it was extremely convenient to move around London. Plus all the convenience of the great neighborhood of South Kensington on your doorstep. A few things to keep in mind though: it’s 3 flights of stairs up, with no elevators. And these stories are high, so it feels more like 6 ;-) Also, it’s right on the street, and you can hear the traffic all night long, so pack good earplugs. And get an eye mask as well since there are no blackout curtains and the main bedroom is facing south, and the sun it up around 5am. Unlike some people who buy to rent, Dario clearly leaves here, which is part of the charm of VRBO of course. However there are a few things we’d expect to find but didn’t: hand soap or paper towels in the kitchen, a trash bin or shower gel in the master bathroom, a lid on the trash can in the kitchen, etc. Unfortunately the Wi-Fi isn’t fast enough to work remotely from there: it’s about 15Mbps down, and only 0.5Mbps up so your colleagues won’t see you well (or at all) on video calls. Dario was prompt to reply and always very kind in his replies.

Perfect property and location for a girls weekend! The flat was very spacious and had all the amenities we could have ever needed. And the location for perfect for us 40+ ladies who wanted a bit of a quieter place to enjoy relaxing mornings and an early night on occasion. Would highly recommend!
