We ended up not staying. The description says it is a cabin, it is an old manufactured home (mobile home). When we pulled in there was items scattered around the yard, the grass hadnât been mowed. When we got to the first step the wood need to be replaced. There were holes in the soffit. Once inside the couches looked old and dingy. The inside needed to be spruced up.
I contacted the property owner and told her our concerns. Her response was
âThings and furnitures are as in the pictures posted in the listing in fact we have made much improvement like new floorings. The furnitures in fact antiques n all wood if u donât have the taste then we canât helpâ
I have used vrbo and other sites for accommodations , this is the first time I have ever left a poor review.
First, â hostâ never sent any messsges; never responded to any of my emails. The place was already occupied, despite my having a confirmation! The property outside was overgrown, empty bottles/trash spread everywhere. Outdoor cats roaming on property. Current occupants allowed me to come in. The inside was very dirty, mess all over floor. The occupant kindly called â hostâ who first thought I had wrong address. The occupant confirmed, with my printout of everything, that my info was correct and I had proof of payment. â host â said he could not do anything and suggested I call customer support. I wasnât expecting anything fancy, just a clean place to sleep. Ended up going on Airbnb site and got lucky with a nice place nearby. I did get a refund on my money.
