Cosy cottage, peaceful setting 5 mins to beautiful sandy beach & fabulous walks!
Magical cottage in peaceful relaxed setting 5 mins from a wide sandy beach and cliff walks, sea view from the bedroom, year round appeal with underfloor heating and log fire. Communal gardens for kids to explore, ancient valley and woods to wander, or Eden Project and Owl Sanctuary in reach.
We love Mawghan Porth. Perfect position to go to all our favourite areas, plus the place itself is small enough, but big enough. Everything you need. Now we have a perfect home for our perfect place. Quirky cottage, with all you need for the perfect holiday, summer or winter. Love a log fire. Loved it. Loved it. Loved it.
Lovely little place, perfectly situated for the local beach and exploring further afield. Loved the decor and had everything we could need for our stay. Really enjoyed the little fire on cosy evenings. Would highly recommend.
We had a lovely stay in the cottage, loved the log fire. Plenty of free logs for us to use . Cottage so well equipped with everything . Lovely location Definitely be back to stay đ
We had a fabulous week in number 6 and it was great to spend time in Cornwall 'out of season'.
We loved the feel of the cottage. The open fire made for a really cosy atmosphere, helped by the way it has been modernised but in a very traditional, handmade way. The mod cons were all there but the place had a lovely simplicity to it.
The garden was perfect for our dog Flossie to run around in, and when we had friends to stay their girls loved the aerial slide! From the door of the cottage there are footpaths for great walks, especially up the valley towards St Mawgan. Not to mention the coastal path! This was out of bounds in the 40mph winds blowing for most of the week, although we did make it over to Watergate Bay once, rewarded by a big lunch and pint at the Beach Hut.
Flossie loved the perfect sands at Mawgan Porth too, so much space for her to run around. The Merrymoor Inn by the beach did a great Sunday roast and nice ales! I loved the local road bike opportunities and also noted great mountain biking at Llanhydrock and nearby Cardinham Woods.
It was great to meet owner Carol during our stay and be treated to a tour of number 5 which looked similarly fab.
We would highly recommend these cottages to couples, those with dogs, and hope to be back with our own children in years to come.

We had a wonderful stay at this rustic and cozy little cottage. The kitchen was well-equipped with everything we needed, and the rooms were clean and comfortable. It was making us feel right at home. The surrounding area is absolutely beautiful â peaceful and perfect for unwinding. The coastal walks nearby were truly unforgettable. Highly recommended for anyone looking to relax and enjoy nature.
Perfectly located for the very best choice of Cornwallâs places to visit.
The cottages are just full of character and so cosy . There is everything you need to tell at home from home and the local beach and places to eat are fabulous. All communication was clear and concise with the owner. I highly recommend staying here.
Great stay in the lovely cosy cottage in a great location which we love (have been going to Mawgan Porth since a young child many years ago!)... Unlimited logs so we could enjoy the fire after the day out without the hassle of buying wood! Owner lovely and we got Prosecco, biscuits and a Christmas Tree so all good! Thank you.
A beautiful property in a fab location. A dog friendly place right by dog friendly beaches (Mawgan Porth, Constantine Bay, Watergate bay). So easy to check in/check out too. Would highly recommend
We had a lovely weekend in Granite Cottage (no 2). It was very clean and Carol very helpful with her communication and information she sent. The cottage is small, but very well appointed and a lovely place to be in. I can recommend both the cottage and the location, being within walking distance of the beach. It is a steep walk back up, so maybe not for the infirm. Thanks for a lovely stay and a wonderful weekend.
Last minute decision to get some Cornish air with the family and this fully met the brief: great location, cosy cottage and equipped with everything to make the trip comfortable and easy. Would happily come again.
This is a quaint cottage with ample space and bags of character. We really loved the quirkiness of the property, high ceilings and the bath and shower. The location is also excellent as there are several similar old properties situated around some gated common land in the middle. Dogs are able to roam freely and this is great to communicate with neighbours. This helped when I needed to borrow some garlic one evening. At the top end of the site there is a large sown grassed area with a table tennis hut and space to hang out wetsuits. Well worth the money.
Had a lovely week at Porth Cottage 6! A beautiful place with lots of character and original features! We didn't want to leave and already want to book again! Communication with Carol was great and Mawgan Porth is a lovely part of Cornwall! A great dog friendly beach too! It's a steep hill down from the cottage but worth the compromise for such an amazing place to stay with sea views! We didn't see one sunset unfortunately, thanks to the British weather, so fingers crossed for next year!

Beautiful, authentic and child friendly cottage near the beach
We loved our stay in this beautiful cottage. Spending time at the beach, and exploring local attractions. Great indoor and outdoor feel, and the kids really enjoyed the outside play area.
Delightful cottage in superb location. We found the cottage well equipped and comfortable. Ideal for two adults and two dogs. Short walk from the beach and local facilities
No.5 Porth Farm Cottages is beautifully restored and finished, with bespoke wood floors, cabinets and staircase; it is even better than the photographs suggest.
The cottage is high quality and has everything you could need or want. It is a really nice space to spend time in.
The cottage's location in Trenance has positives and negatives. While the most direct route to the beach is on the main road and sea views are limited, it sits apart from the 'development spread' that now characterises this bay, has plenty of green outside space and is at the start of the lovely walk (through forest, fields and woodland) to St Mawgan.
Our only issue with the stay was with the 0900 check out. This is one of the COVID-19 measures, so understandable. But even the normal 1000 check out is a touch ungenerous.
But that is a minor detail.
We loved this place and recommend it.
We stayed in number 6 for the week - what a beautiful little cottage with so much thought given to every detail. All be it small it was definitely perfectly formed with the added bonus of a gorgeous bathroom with lovely freestanding bath. The location is great both in terms of views and also being just a short walk to the beach the cliff path. Overall the cottage was very well equipped for what we needed and I highly recommend a stay. Carol was also really easy to deal with and responded to any questions we had promptly. We will be back! Thank you Carol
A beautiful cottage with everything you could need. Cosy and warm even in stormy March weather. Comfortable beds and everything clean.
Short walk to the beach, shops, pub and restaurant. Great base for getting around. Brill outside safe place for kids (age 9 & 6). Had a few days with really bad weather and didnât go out but the cottage was so lovely it was a real great excuse to cosy up by the fire, read a book and drink tea! The bath & shower are great for after a cold morning surfing.
I would and will be recommending this cottage to friends and family. Will go back again.
