Booked this lodge so that we had a hot tub to relax and it was very welcoming and clean when we arrived and the bed was very comfortable, 2 great nights of sleep in this lodge. The layout is great as it allows for privacy of every guest within their lodge.

The Walpole premier select was ideal for us a couple, we usually book a 2 bed lodge for the extra space but this one bed was ample. The hot tub divine and cleaned and checked twice daily without fail. We were by the pond which was extremely peaceful and great for watching the ducks and birds out the big window or from the decking. Perfect.

A fantastic spacious lodge with a large veranda and a very welcoming hot tub.The only minor negatives are the basic TV functions (limited channels and no streaming services and also the sofa was a bit on the small side and lacked any scatter cushions.

This is a lovely place to relax and explore the beautiful surroundings.The Walpole premiere lodge is very spacious with top quality fittings, a comfy bed and sofa.The hot tub was perfect and regularly checked by staff.Only criticisms are there was no cafetière and no gate on the deck to keep the dog secure which I would have expected in a dog friendly lodge. However we improvised to make the deck secure so the dog couldn’t escape and chase the bunnies and geese. We had a wonderful time and will return.

Loved the lodge, big and spacious, great outdoor area, a gate on the decking would be good to keep the dog enclosed.Only criticism is the poor tv signal and no WiFi, however, this did not spoil or stay but was a bit annoying. Oh and you can’t plug in a firestick.

Very comfortable lodge in peaceful surroundings with beautiful views. Cannot fault the location and hot tub. Unfortunately there were quite a lot of cobwebs both inside and outside of the lodge. During our stay there was a visit from a window cleaner but the main large window in the living space was not touched. There was a vape from a previous tenant left down the side of the decking also

Fantastic place for peace and tranquility.

I had a really great stay at this cabin. The accommodation itself was top quality — well-maintained, comfortable, and beautifully presented. The real highlight, though, was the stunning waterfront setting. It offered peace, tranquility, and a perfect place to unwind — truly a retreat from the everyday hustle.The only drawback, and the reason for giving four instead of five stars, was the fixed 4:00 PM check-in time. A bit more flexibility here, or even a system to notify guests when the cabin is ready, would have been a welcome touch and would have made the experience absolutely perfect.Overall, a fantastic place to stay and I’d definitely recommend it.

We couldn't fault our lodge (85). If I was to be really picky I'd say the hot tub could have been facing a different way, its cover was blocking our view of the pond when we were sat in it. Many many spiders around too (which my wife wasn't keen on) but there's absolutely nothing you could do about this and something that wasn't a surprise given the beautiful surroundings we were in.

Delightfully relaxing

I could live here! The lodge was close to the entrance, but in a cul de sac, so felt really secluded. Used the hot tub daily, the water was checked twice daily, so felt very confident it was clean and safe. The food in the restaurant was excellent and had a superb Sunday lunch. My partner had the chicken wings as a main, coupled with roast potatoes, an odd choice, but one they were happy to cater to! Couldn't fault the staff, they were all welcoming, friendly and helpful. Used the spa, and it was perfect. We have got to come back again. Loved it.
