Stable cottage has been converted from the old stable block for Spital House. It is all on one level and is situated next to the current stables within the peaceful grounds of a private estate. There is an abundance wildlife you can view from the cottage - deer, badgers, hares and many birds. Perfect place for a quiet getaway.

Stable Cottage was exactly as listed. Very clean, well stocked, comfy bed and gorgeous weather. Perfect to recharge the batteries.

Beautiful location

Liz the owner welcomed us as we arrived she is lovely, the cottage is very well equipped and the location is so lovely, near to Berwick and surrounding area found it very easily, would recommend it to all.

Very peaceful

Recently had a short break at Stable cottage. It’s located in the grounds of a country estate and is very peaceful but only a short drive from Berwick for restaurants shopping etc and within easy reach of several good supermarkets. A car is definitely needed to stay here. The cottage was clean, spacious and well equipped and Liz left a lovely welcome pack along with milk, coffee, teabags etc. it’s a good base for exploring the Scottish Borders and other areas like Bamburgh, Alnwick, Holy Island etc. we had a really good stay and hope to return soon.

Lovely comfortable cottage, beautiful grounds, peaceful surroundings

The cottage is spacious, clean very nicely furnished and has a well equipped kitchen. It was warm, comfortable and very peaceful. Liz, the owner, is pleasant and helpful. A welcome basket of goodies was left for me, along with milk in the fridge - very thoughtful. It was one of the nicest holiday rentals that I've stayed in.I would have loved to stay longer and would certainly think about going back there.

Great relaxing Bank Holiday weekend away from home

Lovely setting & accommodation, all as advertised. Fabulous grounds with plenty of nature,around when sat outside relaxing. Very good kitted out kitchen, and locally produced welcome treats on arrival. Thanks you very much Liz, would definitely stay again.

Perfect space for our diving trip to St. Abbs. The outdoor space was perfect for rinsing and drying our kit. Fully equipped kitchen was perfect for cooking. Very quiet and very safe. Would definitely return.

Relaxing and quiet

Excellent stay at stable cottage. A lovely base to come back to after a day out. Had everything we needed and so very quiet. Wonderful to see the horses and ponies in the morning out the bedroom window and the rest of the wildlife. We had a great time.

3 night stay in the Stable Cottage

The most equipped kitchen/cottage we have ever stayed in. Incredibly quiet surroundings, I think even the horses/ponies wore slippers as we never heard them leaving or arriving to the stables situated behind the cottage. Would return in a heartbeat. Highly recommended.

Nice short stay with the family

The house was clean and complete, we did not miss a thing. Although we did not meet the owner, we felt welcome by the milk and biscuitts. Location is remote, about 10 minutes by car from shops and restaurants. The information on Vrbo shows also pictures of another rental, it was confusing wich pictures were the right ones.

Fabulous, clean and very well-equipped cottage

My mum and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay at The Lodge. It was very clean, and so well-equipped with anything you could need, including electric blankets and games for families. It was a quiet location and a lovely place to stay. We used it as a base to see lots of places in the local area - all very interesting and lots of beach walks too. I can highly recommend it.
