Lovely week at Frey 1

Our family of two adults and one teenager had a lovely week at Frey 1. The description and pictures of the house matched perfectly, all though the pictures from the different flats are mixed. Very nice and helpful owners, smooth checkin and checkout. We used the Tennis court several times and it was in good condition and there is a fantastic view of lake Orta from the court. We used the outdoor area and pool a lot and there is plenty of space for everybody (neighbors), only thing to look out for is the mosquitoes, so bring insect repellent.

Super location

Nous avons séjourné 1 semaine avec nos 3 enfants. La location est vraiment très agréable et très bien située. Il y a une petite épicerie où l'on trouve de tout. Ilaria nous a très bien reçu et le logement est très propre. Vous n’êtes pas loin du lac majeur, du montarone, et d'orta ( petite ville très charmante ). Exceptés les moustiques ( il faut bien bien se protéger), tout est parfait !!!

Die Wohnung befindet sich in Vacciago sehr ruhig gelegen (man braucht auf jeden Fall ein Auto), ein paar Minuten zu Fuß hat man bereits einen tollen Blick auf den Ortasee.Die Wohnung war wie beschrieben, alles, was man so braucht, ist vorhanden. Die Wohnung ist nett eingerichtet, an der Sauberkeit kann ich nichts aussetzen.Für uns das Highlight: Der Pool! Super für Klein und Groß zum Spaß haben und relaxen.Die Kommunikation mit der Gastgeberin war sehr nett und unkompliziert. Wir kommen gerne wieder.Vielen Dank für die schöne Zeit bei dir, Ilaria!

Simple: very good

A lovely home with enough room for 4 people. Cool house and a very nice garden with pool and a shaded place to eat outside. The area has enough to offer, yet is still quiet if you prefer a more relaxed holiday. I would recommend this to a lot of my friends and family.

Casa Frey 1

A delightful little haven in easy driving distance of the Italian lakes with a swimming pool. Sheer bliss! We have to say that Ilaria is the hostess with the mostess. Help was a telephone call away and when our hire car got a small bump (which could have cost us a huge fortune back at the airport) she made contact with a garage in Bolzano and sorted everything for us. Thank you so much. The only thing I would warn UK visitors about is the propensity of speed camera in northern Italy, be warned when you see one they will be a second within a couple of 100m. Absolute musts are the Borromeo Islands (ferry from Arona where there is a free all-day carpark), a day trip into Milan (direct train from Arona) & the Borgomanero street market. But will you want to? Private garden, great patio and a swimming pool, I wouldn't blame you if you didn't want to move an inch!

Wonderful house!

We stayed one week at this wonderful house. The pool is clean. Nice surroundings and with a short walk for fresh bread in the morning. We recommend a Nice metal at the Hotel Britian - what a view over Lake Orta! Be aware of the mosqitoes...

Lovely stone house with beautiful garden and pool

Clean and welcoming and in a lovely village near to Orta. Owner was attentive and most helpful. We had a wonderful holiday and would highly recommend. Contact Max in Maisino for bike hire and eat in Ameno at the Monterosa hotel. Beautiful scenery, excellent cycling and walking a real gem of a place.

God plads, Flot tennisbane, have og pool

Ligger dejligt fredligt lidt oppe i bakkerne over Largo d'Orta. Tennisbanen har et helt fantastisk panoramaview over søen med Alperne i baggrunden. Lejligheden byder på god plads i store rum, gode senge, fint badeværelse med badekar og bruser. Køkkenet kunne godt bruge lidt mere bordplads når man skal lave mad men fungerer ellers fint. Poolen er dejlig og en dukkert i søen er man også nødt til at unde sig selv - den er meget ren, klar og dyb. Meget venlig modtagelse og god information. Alt i alt et rigtigt dejligt sted.

CASA FREY...AN EXCELLENT PLACE TO STAY

We found Casa Frey a great place to stay.We are a family of 3 so we had planty of space. Everything was very clean & tidy.We were given lots of towels and bed linen provided was all good. The apartment was acurately described and more lovely than in the photos. The outdoor areas are especially nice & we ate al fresco early May no problem.The owner, Ilaria was excellent from the first response to my enquiry to the last phone call as we were leaving. She met us at the house & went through all the maps with us. Nothing beats local knowledge! We were unable to use the jacuzzi on the first day due to ph levels in the water but it was very quickly resolved & we were able to enjoy it soon after. , We used the pool which is in a lovely garden setting, lots of sun loungers. I can imagine it would be great place to stay in high summer! It's a quick drive (5 Mins) to Orta.Easy drive to Lake Magiorre, can recommend Cafe de la Sera, lakeside in Arona for a great lunch in the sun. Milan is a 40/50 min drive & we followed a tip to drive into Milan following the autostrada until you see a turning for Lampugna where you can park for the day €1.80 then take the metro into town (9 stops to Duomo)with a €3 day pass. The little walk into the village,Vacciago is very quiet,didn't seem like anything was going on but there is a shop within 5 mins walk, a bar & a good restarant with a fantastic view of Orta 1km walk down the road. The tiny alleyways & roads are a novelty & it is all very pretty. All in all, it was a great littel break for us. Casa Frey is great & we would definately recommend this property.

a nice holiday

We had a very holiday. The appartment is proper en clean. The owner was very friendly. The weather was great so we could enjoy the sun the whole day on the big terrace. We also saw a lot of the neigbourhoud, like Orto san Gulilia, Stresa and the Monte mesma. The lake of Orta is beautiful. The jacuzzi was great. Our son loved it! Ilaria, thanks for everything! Lovely converted old house

We were able to take over the whole property (4 apartments) which gave us the benefit of not having to worry about anybody else but ourselves. Property description very accurate, clean and well maintained. Well refurbished and furnished with the owners being extremely helpful at every opportunity. A car a must and only 10 minutes into Orta San Guilio. I guess heating the pool would have taken it to a '5 Excellent'.

Nice Apartment, Great Area

Our family of two adults and three children had a wonderful time at Lake Orta, and really enjoyed staying in this apartment. It had everything we needed, with the bonus of very helpful, friendly owners who were prepared to do that little bit extra to make our stay successful. They provided plenty of local information, which was really useful. We loved the little town of Orta San Giulio - there's a great deli in the main street (along from the main squre) where they sell wonderful local cured meats, cheeses, bread etc. We had a nice meal at a lakeside restaurant in the main square. And you can do a great little walk around the lake, which takes a bit over an hour - details at tourist office. And don't miss the drive up to the Sanctuary above the lake - views are stunning. We also went to Stresa for a day (on Lake Maggiore), and took the boat out to visit Isola Bella and Isola Madre - highly recommended (but watch out for touts - boat tickets are cheaper from the official office, right there at the main car park on the lake).

De omschrijving van het huis op de website was correct en gaf een duidelijke omschrijving. Het huis was proper en goed onderhouden, het keukenmateriaal is wel wat bescheiden en verouderd. Het verhuurkantoor gaf een uitstekende service, ter plaatse konden we altijd bellen en konden we ook bij hen terecht voor alle vragen, ook over de streek. Het huis is zeker aan te raden voor natuurliefhebbers. Dichtbij in de buurt is het wel wat verlaten, je moet je dus wel met een wagen kunnen verplaatsen.

Very relaxing

We spent a wonderful relaxing fortnight in casa frey. The house is situated in a very quiet place but the infrastructure is excellent. We had more than enough space for three adults and two children. The kitchen was perfectly equipped with everything you need, everything was clean and the family owning the house was really nice and very helpful.
