Located just a 2 minutes’ stroll away from the Langbaai, Platbank, Voelklip and Kammabaai (surfing hub) beaches in the heart of Voelklip, rests one of Hermanus’ best-kept secrets, Mooinooientjie cottage. Designed for the ultimate holiday experience where family memories of a lifetime are made, this private home offers comfortable self-catering accommodation with a contemporary, sleek farmhouse feel. It also has a newly installed hot tub!

All entrances lead to quaint front and back gardens / patios, with the main attraction being a marvellously big undercover porch and braai area that breaths sublime tranquility through the expansive sliding door and serving hatch type window into the lounge with open plan kitchen. The master en-suite also provides entrance to the porch. An additional sundeck provides the ideal spot for sunseekers. The external hot-cold shower enables cooling down or washing sand off your feet after a day at the beach. Outside the secure walls of the villa, you are greeted by the majestic Overberg mountains every time you go for a walk or cycling.

The finely furnished home can accommodate 8 guests and comprises 4 bedrooms, 3 of which are in the main house. The fourth bedroom is an outside cottage room. The main en-suite bedroom contains a queen-size bed and has a work-from-home desk and two couches perfect for relaxed reading leisure. The en-suite bathroom has a large, comfortable shower. The second and third bedrooms contain two single beds and have access to a shared bathroom with shower and the functionality to fill a small tub with water for babies. The fourth bedroom in the cottage is furnished with 2 single beds that make a king-size bed. It has an adjoining outside bathroom with shower and has its own smart tv. The cottage room is ideal for guests seeking additional privacy or for an au pair. All rooms have welcome cupboard space.

The house comprises an open-plan kitchen, dining area and lounge. The kitchen is equipped with a top-of-the-range fridge/freezer, a gas hob and electric oven, a microwave, a kettle and toaster, a coffee machine, a dishwasher, a washing machine as well as cleaning materials. In the lounge is a big screen Smart TV with DSTV and Netflix, and a wood-fired fireplace. Free WiFi is available with UPS back-up.

Guests can enjoy the private garden, as well as the outdoor seating area for alfresco dining and braai facilities. Off-street parking is also available to guests, and the property is secure with an alarm system. In addition, there is enclosed storage space for a trailer, bicycles or kayaks.

The location offers access to beaches, a number of restaurants, art galleries and coffee shops. It is also not far from the lagoon and scenic walking and mountain biking trails on the mountain.

NOTE: There are no roads to cross on the way to the beach and guests have easy access to the cliff paths for world-class whale-watching.
