This dog-friendly house is located on a quiet un-adopted lane adjacent to a small river, perfect for families with children and situated within a stones-throw of the village playground.

'Swn Yr Afon' can accommodate up to 8 people and has 2 double rooms, 1 twin and 1 bunk bedroom and is ideal for family groups. With a contemporary and welcoming feel, the house is spacious with 2 lounges, woodburner and coal fire, a modern kitchen and dining area plus outside sitting areas both front and back. Its the perfect place to slow down, inhale the clear welsh air and be soothed by the sound of the river. Abergynolwyn is the destination of the famous Tallylln steam railway and has many beautiful walks up the gorge to the old quarry and into the hills from the door. The range of activities available suit a mixed family group requiring a blend of relaxation and challenge : climbing Cader Idris, mountain biking in the trails at Coed y Brenin, swimming in the gorge or visiting the Centre for Alternative Technology and the Welsh towns of Aberdovey, Dolgellau, Barmouth and Machynlleth which are only an approximate 30 minute drive away.
