Tennis anyone?

We were so fortunate to have had the best stretch of weather...according to the locals...EVER in Donegal County. That being said, even if we did not, the property lends itself to enough space to stretch out in the event the weather turns. Our only downfall was that the weather was so good that we only used the fabulous pizza oven once as we were out on adventures for most days. The location of Smugglers Creek Inn just added to our stay for some of the long days where the driver (also being the chef and mother of the crew) was too tired to pull together a meal. The food was delicious and we all declared it the best pour of Guinness around. We look forward to another gathering soon!

Family Vacation June 2025

Our family 9 adults, 1 toddler planned a trip to visit our family that resides in Donegal Town. We enjoyed the spaciousness, views, beaches, accomodations and the many recommendations by the host. We utilized caterer Peter/ Bridg Campbell for a beautiful steak dinner. Our transportation was coordinated through hosts recomendations. We enjoyed the outdoor kitchen where we would hang out in the evening with a nice warm fire, music and laughter. We would have loved to use the pizza oven, but could not squeeze it in. The host/ administrators are very communicative, the home is welcoming, well stocked with kitchen applainces dishes, pots, pans, plates, glasses etc.We mainly ate breakfast and light meals, and made daily trips to bakery for fresh scones and delicious coffees. We are grateful for our family time together and having a beautiful accomodations. Thank you Cliff House!

Recently renovated in 2017, it has been brought back to its former glory with a few added extras! We truly hope you enjoy its amazing offerings - be it swimming, surfing, taking a stroll on the beautiful Rossnowlagh beach, games of tennis, football or basketball, making your own pizzas, watching dolphins swim past or just snuggled up beside the fire watching the ocean - Cliff House offers you relaxation in abundance whatever the weather! We have a King bedroom with an ensuite and two double bedrooms (one ensuite) on our lower ground floor. All rooms offer ample storage, plenty of natural light and most have stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean!★ Bright and airy open plan Kitchen/Living & dining area ★ We also offer two seating areas in our open plan space, one with floor to ceiling windows overlooking the ocean & the other with a wood burning stove and Smart TV ★ Our reading room offers stylish and comfortable furnishings & a rustic open fire ★ Sizable wet room with a walk in shower and WC on the lower ground floor beside the back door entrance. ★ Fully equipped games room on the lower ground floor with a pool table, dart board, board games and a Smart TV ★ We have a large, private outdoor all-weather pitch which is available for your use and can be set up for tennis/basketball or football. We have rackets and balls available for your use which are stored in the games room. ★ There is also a door off the games room to our private garden & patio area with an outdoor shower overlooking the beach - perfect for washing the sand off after a walk or swim! ★ Our Pizza Hut & Entertainment room can be accessed via the lower ground floor or through gates at the front entrance of the house - this room offers a traditional stone Pizza oven, a fully equipped kitchen with sink, fridge freezer, crockery and cutlery, an open fire and plenty of comfortable seating. Our surround sound system & LED lighting make this the ideal entertainment space! Our bifold doors can also be opened up in finer weather to further enjoy the amazing views!
