Had a great time, the cottage is lovely. This could be the perfect location for you, but I has a couple of issues that may not affect you.
1) The ceiling in the shower room is too low for very tall people to stand up straight. Thereâs nothing that can be done about this, itâs an old cottage with a pitched roof, itâs just a quirk of the building. For a few days itâs not a big deal, but itâs worth being aware of if you are tall.
2) Its got an electric hob, which I found really hard to cook on - but again this may be a safety thing rather than having gas, but you sacrifice a bit of control, so I keep boiling things over then having to stand holding a pan while the hob cooled down. Again, this may not be a problem for many people, but if youâre planning complicated meals it is lacking a bit in that regard.
Basically if youâre a 6â4â chef you might struggle.
All that said - had an excellent time, itâs comfortable, warm, nice little garden, lovely area, friendly hosts, plenty of space, and a really good base for exploring the area. And the instructions for getting in are exhaustively precise (which is a very good thing, itâs been really well thought out).
