Townhouse in Battersea, Inner London , close to River Thames.
A Victorian house with clean, modern interior and parquet wooden floors. Six rooms including lounge, dining room / study, kitchen, bathroom, dressing room, and toilet. Quiet road but buzzy area. Easy access to Chelsea, Victoria, Battersea Park and the new Battersea Power Station development.
We enjoyed our 8-night stay. Location close to public transportation, restaurants, and shops. Quiet residential street. Communication with property manager was excellent--they responded promptly to queries. We also appreciated their flexibility in allowing us to check in early to accommodate our morning flight arrival.
It was really convenient to have access to a kitchen and washing machine, not to mention two bathrooms.
We enjoyed the spaciousness of the apartment and the area was safe and quiet. We appreciated having two bathrooms , one of which had a large shower. The kitchen was well equipped and we cooked often. The bed was firm but comfortable. The busses were reliable and easy to use.
This lovely roomy townhouse in Battersea in a charming older neighborhood, combines modern conveniences with old fashioned hospitality. A gem that we hope to visit again.
We stayed at Simon and Karensâs home for a little over 1 month. The home was clean, spacious and comfortable. Karen and Simon were excellent kind hosts. Very responsive to our messages.
Neighbourhood is safe and had lots of green spaces around. You can easily walk to Battersea park which is a beautiful area. We wouldnât hesitate to stay there again. Thank you Karen and Simon for your hospitality!
The location was great, super close to many buses even though it's a little far from a tube stop. It's much quieter and out of the way neighborhood, very residential. The owners were very easy to reach via the VRBO website, which was great whenever we had an issue or couldn't find something. Honestly, the only thing wrong was the bed. It was lumpy, super uncomfortable, and dipped badly in the middle. We realized a few days into our stay that there was a stack of books under the bed holding up the middle, and it fell over our last night, which made the bed feel extremely unstable. We are both short, average sized females, so I can't imagine how a man could have stayed on that bed at all. One of us ended up sleeping on the couch because we were scared the bed would break in the middle of the night without the books supporting it. The only other downside was that the linens and towels were all quite old and scratchy. So, on the plus side- the neighborhood was lovely, the owners were nice, and the space was quite spacious, quiet, and safe. The downside- the bed and linens.
It was my first time in London and I enjoyed my stay at this residence. Some key points that made my stay comfortable were the close proximity of dining, the distance to downtown attractions, and the quiet neighborhood. It was an amazing experience!! Thanks again!
It was a very nice stay, but we friday night was a bar next door open till after midnight. I missed the actual housenumber in our communication, but was able to find the place by help from the picture.
