Mama’s Happy Place, Too est situé au 685, rue Cherokee, à Fort Morgan, en Alabama. C'est une maison de 2 chambres à coucher, 1 salle de bain surélevée qui dort confortablement 6 personnes. Seulement 4 pâtés de maisons des belles plages! Les aéroports proches incluent: Pensacola, FL (90 minutes), Mobile, AL (90 minutes) et Gulfport-Biloxi, MS (2 heures).

et Tacky Jacks Restaurant and Bar est situé à un peu moins de 3 km de la route principale qui mène à l’ouest de la marina.
- Fort Morgan est un site historique de la guerre de Sécession que vous voudrez visiter
- Traversée en ferry située à Fort Morgan pour visiter l’île aux dauphins soit en voiture ou à pied

It was a great quaint place to stay right on the water. There was a house being built two house down so there is construction close by but the exterior is almost done. Great fishing at the dock, good flounders caught and plenty of weak fish around.

Much Needed Time Away

At the time of our rental, the surrounding area was quiet outside of the sound of seagulls and mullet jumping! The house was very clean and easy to access via keypad. Property grounds were well-maintained. We enjoyed fishing off the pier and visiting (reconnecting) with neighbors. We will be back in the Fall!

Family getaway

Loved our stay! I loved having our own private dock. We sat out there at night listening to the water. Neighborhood is quiet and peaceful. A little bit of a walk to the beach but we found a place we could park that was real close to the beach but the kiddos liked walking so half the time I drove the car back and they walked :) We would rent again!

Perfect R&R!

This is our second time renting Tortuga Bay. We love this quiet spot and the neighbors are warm and friendly. The house is perfect size for our small family and we love that pets are welcome! Tortuga Bay is neat and well organized. You can fish right outside on the private dock. The top deck is perfect for grilling and lounging. We will be back!

2024 Snow Bird stay

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This winter stay at the TORTUGA BAY house at Fort Morgan was amazing. The home was just what we needed. Great location, very comfortable and pet friendly. This was our 1 extended stay south of the cold winters in Eastern Kentucky and we wanted to be able to take our Aussie/Doodle with us. He loved our stay there too. Close to the beach and lots of natural beauty. The local restaurants were amazing. Of all the restaurants that we visited we enjoyed the ORIGINAL OYSTER HOUSE the most. Great food, service and decor of the interior were upmost. We had to leave earlier than our originally planned but family issues at home take presidence over everything else. Thanks to SUNSET PROPERTIES for being so thorough in arranging our stay and being able to answer any questions we had before arriving and while we were there. I highly recommend these folks and this location for your stay of any length in this wonderful area. I must add- the locals really know how to put on a fireworks display ringing in the NEW YEAR. I can only imagine the display for the 4th of July when we celebrate our Nations Independence Day. Thanks again.

Great Week!

Weather was not the best for the whole week, but we had a couple very nice days. The fishing was great right off the pier. House was the perfect size for us. The rooms were comfortable. The back deck was my favorite place to read and watch the seagulls.

A relaxing & fun time away

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had such a wonderful time at Tortuga Bay & wished we had another day or two. First was the fishing which was so fun. The kids could throw a cast in, count to five & had a fish. They enjoyed the variety of types of fish. Second, we saw dolphins at the end of our inlet. Third, the beach was perfect. We chose to drive over with our gear & it was only 2 minutes away. Fourth, it was quiet & remote from the busyness. Fifth, the house was cute, clean & perfect for our family of four. It had everything we needed. I highly recommend this rental & would stay here again.

Reviewer Comments: The house was great and had everything we needed also was clean upon arrival.We arrived by boat but the dock was not suitable for docking. The house is situated on an open bay and subject to large surges from big boats passing by.Our boat was damaged when a piling came loose allowing our boat to smash into the dock.The dock requires a david to be safely used.

This was the perfect spot! Very peaceful area and very beautiful! We got to see dolphins right by our dock. We would stay here again!!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: If your desire is to be in the middle of chaos with the commercial beach crowd, then Tortuga Bay is not for you. If you are seeking a peaceful, perfectly appointed vacation rental for small family or group, Tortuga Bay is the gem you're looking for! Using keycode to enter Tortuga Bay was simple, I found everything to be clean upon arriving and I quickly got settled in. Gorgeous sunsets from the deck and had a perfect view of the full Snow Moon reflecting off the bay from the bedroom window. All furnishings were comfortable and kitchen utensils, appliances and dishware covered all the necessities. Stock up on your grocery items before you head down the peninsula to Fort Morgan area, but if need supplies there are options for shopping nearby. Sunset Properties staff were responsive to any questions I had during my stay. Will absolutely rent from them again!

1st trip to Fort Morgan

We booked this property for my husbands birthday as his only wish was a fishing trip to Dauphin Island area so when this water front property showed up in Fort Morgan with a boat dock at a reasonable price we were sold and booked a couple weeks prior to his birthday weekend. Unfortunately after we booked the storm warnings for the week to follow started showing on the news and we knew we could end up with a wet trip and could only hope for the best. We arrived on Wednesday right before Hurricane Nicole hit Florida. We were lucky and didn't get any rain the entire time in Alabama but the winds were extremely intense and the waters were almost too much for our vessel to handle at some points. But we stuck it out and fished every single day coming back soaked to the bone from waves crashing over our boat and in our faces over and over and over again. It was almost impossible to make it out of the bay into the Ocean where the waters were still rough but much better than inside the bay where our house was. The bay waters were rough! We fished the rigs and caught nothing but a bunch of stinking catfish until the last day(which was the hubby's birthday) when we got on the Red Snappers and finally had some fish worth fishing for after putting ourselves through the fight to make it out to sea. Returning back into the bay was even worse than going out but we made it and even tho it was scary at times we had a blast! The boat dock at our house was nice but the Cove we were in didn't have any wave breakers so it made it impossible to keep the boat in the slip without beating the crap out of it. So we had to keep the boat off site unfortunately. That was a bit disappointing since we chose this location specifically for the boat slip but considering what was happening one state over we knew we were lucky and things could have been much worse. The Neighborhood had some houses that were in need of attention, some were under construction, and the rest were cute little houses all with great views. Our rental was cute as it could be! It had an outdoor shower, a fire pit by the dock and string lights outside but with the intense wind we couldn't use or enjoy the outdoor amenities. Inside was perfect size for our group of 4 and was decorated nicely and everything was clean. Recommendations we have would be to upgrade the master bedroom mattress. It's more like a College kids bed than a place for 2 adults to get a good night's rest on vacation. Overall great rental!
