Karelia - Luxury Finnish Log Cabin w/Hot-tub

Lovely Finnish log cabin with amazing Forest views, superbly located next to Ringwood Forest with direct forest access.

In 2023 the property had a complete make-over - the new spacious layout is designed for 10 persons with a cosy in-door living for those cold wet months, with a Scandinavian Wood-Burning Stove at the centre of the open plan area.

The property is ideal for 2 families, with 3 newly renovated bathrooms, and ample living space. The modern kitchen has a 10 person dining table and opens to the outdoor terrace dining and hot tub through French Doors.

The unique feature is the landscaped lawn, trees & mature garden, which is gated, fenced and private to the cottage. The property backs on to Ringwood Forest with miles and miles of walks and cycling areas, including the Castleman Trailways and Moors Valley Country Park.

The location is also conveniently close to the A338/A31 for easy access to both the New Forest (10 mins), Bournemouth Beach (15 mins), and multiple Dorset/Hampshire pubs and restaurants

What an incredible little place. We really felt like we were in the middle of nowhere. Super relaxing way to spend the New Year. The facilities were great and we actually thought it was much nicer than even the photos represented online. We loved the little bunker sauna and plunge pool; made a real experience.Timo was faultless in his attentiveness to what we needed whilst we were down there and super accommodating on some issues we had with getting down on the dates we booked. All in all I highly recommend the place and we'd love to revisit.

all was fabulous, we loved our stay....only 1 sugfestion would be perhaps a new mattress in the upstairs attic double. but the cabin was really wonderful hot tub great with lovley view and seemed to keep lovely and hot and clean, unlike some others we have used.had everything we needed and we really loved the unique sauna in the bunker...the hosts were also fantastic and we loved reading about some of their family history.

Karelia was the first property of 5 holiday cottages which we have created. On our land we have also Viipuri another Finnish cabin sleeping 14 and The Art Studio sleeping 14. All 3 are separate properties and fenced off from each other.
My name is Timo, and I look after Karelia, which is one of several holiday homes. I will be looking after you during your stay. Karelia has been a holiday home for guests since the early 1980's when my grandfather and Finnish grandmother, Helena, imported and the property from Finland. We have spent 2023 renovating the cottage bringing it up to modern standards.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

The property is a wonderful retreat and ideally located for walks and as a base to explore the New Forest and Dorset. In 2023 we transformed the interior including new kitchen, living space, bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms, and landscaped the gardens to provide private lawn area and Forest Views.

An authentic Finnish log cabin, with Hot Tub, ample terraces for eating and sitting outside, private forest and garden views. The property is ideally located for Forest walks and as a base to explore the New Forest, Dorset and the many Bournemouth beaches.
