AVOID AT ALL COSTS!
If you want a bright and sunny cottage by the sea with private courtyard then this isnât it! The description is deliberately deceptive! Had I known that the courtyard was shared by three other units I would not have booked this cottage! The cottage is well laid out and on first impression looked comfortable, however, the windows are small, all bar one window upstairs on the landing and a tiny window to the front all are above eye level and have etched glass with small openers further adding to the claustrophobic feeling of the cottage, the ventilation is exceptionally poor. The flooring throughout is strip laminate/vinyl type but was lifting and squashy in places. I couldnât use the upstairs bedroom/bathroom due to a sewage smell. The downstairs bathroom taps were impossible to control. There isnât enough space here to explain but I was injured in this cottage due to the landlords negligence. He had a leak and didnât replace the flooring causing my asthma to become an issue. The taps in the downstairs bathroom were impossible to control. I fell in the downstairs shower as there wasnât an ANTISLIP mat, all told I spent 3 separate nights in A & E being treated for asthma and then a fall. The LL put a bath mat in while I was in A & E claiming it was there all the time! I left the property after falling in the shower! I wish I could explain further but the site only allows an abbreviated review. My review title says it all: AVOID AT ALL COSTS.
