à propos de cet hébergement
The Hayloft at Greystones
Greystones Hayloft is a beautifully presented converted barn located in South Scarle on the Lincolnshire / Nottinghamshire border. The open plan studio apartment set within is full of character but with all the modern requirements for a cosy stay. It's an ideal choice for the perfect couples escape.
Greystones Hayloft can be found within the grounds of Greystones, a Grade II listed building set within a village of history where itâs church, St Helenaâs dates back to the 12th century. In addition to its history, Medieval and Tudor structures can be seen at South Scarle Hall adding to this beautiful village.
Upon arrival at Greystones, the picturesque exterior with centuries of character has a shared terrace to bask in the sun whilst surrounded by beautiful flowers. Opening the large contemporary barn door reveals your way up the stone steps, brightly lit with a chandelier and adorned with befitting decorations, making your way to the entrance of your cosy getaway and setting the tone for your luxurious stay.
Entering into the fully equipped kitchen, complete with ceramic hob and counter top oven and grill, you should find all you require for a romantic meal in or to rustle up a breakfast. Moving on further, this apartment with exposed oak beams against the bright walls oozes charm throughout. Comfortable seating with coffee table and smart television to relax, decorations will catch your eye with their subtle class.
A luxurious 4 poster king sized bed caps off an evening of relaxation, but not before soaking in the roll top corner bath, cosy feet on exit with the bathrooms heated floor.
With your car parked underneath your accommodation, thereâs plenty to do for nature and walking enthusiasts whilst nestled in the stunning Lincolnshire countryside, but still only a short trip away to many places such as Besthorpe Nature Reserve or the award winning Hill Holt Wood. The historic town of Lincoln is a short 25 minute drive through the countryside, but not before Hartsholme Country Park and Boultham Park 20 minutes away.
Be sure to visit the world renowned antiques road fair at Newark Show Ground, only 15 minutes away and takes place every two weeks - It is the largest event of its kind in Europe!
The small village of Collingham is a short drive south, with the Rose Orchard Restaurant and its takeaway service, in addition to the traditional Royal Oak and the Village Fish Bar. A short drive further takes you to the busier 12th century town of Newark-on-Trent, a beautiful castle and its gardens can be viewed, in addition to more stores and restaurants to complete any trip.
Lincoln city and its vast history is a 20-minute drive north-east, a beautiful place with cobbled streets adding to the heritage of this cathedral city. With Iron Age settlements being discovered, this city dates back to 100 BCE â A swath of history, culture and class exudes this place with many sights to behold on your travels.
Greystones Hayloft is your idyllic haven for a quiet break, relax and recharge in these peaceful surroundings for your time in Nottinghamshire and Lincolnshire.
