Gite Lavande is situated 3km from the small historic town of Allemans du Dropt with a weekly market, baker, butcher and 2 cafe bars and a hotel restaurant. The historic town of Eymet, with its weekly market and many restaurants, is just 10km and Bergerac is 34km.

Situated near the historic towns of Eymet 10km, Duras 14km (Lot et Garonne), Monsegur 22km (Gironde), Sainte-Foy-La-Grande 30km and Saint Emilion 56km. These historic towns have weekly markets and restaurants, in the summer months there are night markets. Bordeaux city centre is 110km.

Gite Lavande is attached to the owners' house and has its own separate private entrance and parking area; this is the only rented part of the property. The English owners Kim and Julian, a retired couple, are very welcoming and respect guests' privacy whilst being on hand to help should you need it. Kim also speaks French.

Bedrooms: Room fans in each bedroom and 2 hair dryers. x1 baby cot with bedding provided, x1 highchair.
Bedrooms 2 and 3 share a bathroom with wc, wash basin and bath with a rain shower over.

Bedroom 1: Large bed 160x190cm. Wardrobe, window shutters and curtains. Shower, washbasin and wc.

Kitchen: Electric oven and gas hob. Kettle and toaster. Cafetiere, coffee machine (pod type). Dishwasher, washing machine. Charcoal BBQ in the garden.

Living room: 32-inch tv with French and English-speaking channels. Wifi and 4G mobile reception.

Cleaning, towels and linen: Bed linen, bath towels and pool towels are provided and included in the price.
A complimentary extra supply of bed linen and bath towels will be provided for bookings of 2 weeks or more.

Private heated secure swimming pool: The chlorine pool measures 8m x 4m and 1.2m deep. It is fenced with a lockable gate and there is also an alarm; steps lead you into the pool. The pool is cleaned on a regular basis, pool towels are supplied. 6 sunbeds and 3 parasols which provide shade from the sun.
The owner's part of the house does not overlook the pool or the private terrace area. There is a quiet country road that runs alongside the property, the pool area is fenced for privacy from the road.

Outside and garden: The covered breakfast terrace at the front of the house catches the morning sun and also has a table tennis table. There is a charcoal BBQ, a boules area and off-road parking. There is also an alfresco dining area with a table and chairs for 6 people with a parasol for shade.

Arrival from: 4pm. Departure by: 10am

Included in the price: Pool heating is included. Bed linen, bath towels and pool towels are provided and included in the price. A complimentary extra supply of bed linen and bath towels will be provided for bookings of 2 weeks or more. Please leave the house in a reasonable condition as you found it on departure.

Activities and what to do in the area: Weekly farmers markets, summer night markets, restaurants, cycle hire, local adventure park and many more activities and places to visit.

The nearest restaurants are: Hotel l'Etape Gasconne in Allemans-du-Dropt, good French cuisine and a pleasant location. 3km. La Camelia in Auriac-sur-Dropt for genuine French cuisine with no frills at a great price. 7KM. XIII Clochers and Chateau De Monteton in Monteton, finer French dining. Nice views from the church. 7KM.

Located in the heart of the Bordeaux famous wine region where there are plenty of vineyards for tastings and tours. There are many picturesque towns in the region, the nearest are Saint Foy La Grande, Saint Emilion, Duras and Monsegur with restaurants, cafe bars, shops and the beautiful historical countryside for you to explore.

Coast, Beach and Water park: A freshwater lake with a sandy beach at Blasimon is 44km away and is a popular attraction to take children for a day out. The gently shelving sand provides a safe, fun environment for splashing around and cooling off in the heat of the summer sun.
Aqua Park is 36km located near Bergerac. Beach, canoeing and a water park.
Aqua fun Park Near Casteljaloux freshwater lake, 48km. Park with a huge lake, picnic benches, walks, facilities, a sandy beach, water sports and a children's play area..... it's great for adults and kids of all ages.

Visit Europe's largest sand dune 165km, the Dune du Pilat where both the climb and the views will take your breath away! Reward yourself with fresh seafood from the Bay of Arcachon or take the ferry to Cap Ferret and feel the sand between your toes whilst you enjoy oysters and chilled white wine.

Zip wire adventure and climbing park: 22km. Playground and snack bar. Des chenes toi Aventure.

Chocolate: Yes, we believe chocolate is also an activity, we often have to visit to make sure the quality is up to standard… Maison Guinguet 14km, near Duras. A nice shop to visit, selling chocolate, gifts and offering guided visits to their artisan factory in July and August.

Duras Castle: The famous Chateau de Duras, 14km away. It's well worth a visit, climb to the top and see the stunning 360-degree vista.

Tea room with gardens: Jardin de Boissona has six little gardens, each with its own character. Outside and inside seating. Known for their teas and delicious cakes. 16km.

Boat trips: Dordogne river trips are available on traditional boats in Bergerac with Les Gabarres de Bergerac. 34km.

End-of-stay cleaning is included in the price, although the house should be left in reasonable condition on departure, any excessive cleaning will be charged.
