Property was great, no issues with the property, We did have a really bad experience trying to get into the house. we were sent security code to get in but it did not work, was unable to immediately speak to anyone because we had no cell service. It was very late when we arrived and I really thought we would end sleeping in vehicle, Did not receive the proper information to get into house. We had many trial and error before we got in. I was afraid that we set some type of alarm but no one ever showed up. We have used vrbo on many occasions and this is the first serious issue we have ever experienced.
Beech Mountain Chalet is the perfect house for a group getaway! 7 of us stayed for a long weekend & had a great time. Highlights of the house started with ample parking, great layout, privacy with bedrooms on 3 separate floors, cool lighting, new ac, inviting/functional kitchen, great appliances (big side by side fridge, new microwave, big electric stove/oven) comfortable couches & mattresses, nice deck & tvs everywhere. 2 things to be aware of - bring ice. NP because big freezer. No bathroom on top floor - but 2 bathrooms on main floor. Again - manageable & the couple on the top floor said how cool it was hearing the rain on the chalet roof. Thanks to Andrew for making this a great stay!
there are a few items that need repair, a cabinet door and shelves are about to fall off and a few things were not cleaned out, Coffee maker and the dish washer was not unloaded. all in all, we had a good stay.
The location was great for us, 5 minutes from Beech Mountain. There were plenty of beds for us. It was clean, but needs some overall TLC. Many cabinet doors in the kitchen were loose and or crooked. The microwave door was tricky to close and needs some attention. We were not told the refrigerator icemaker did not work and there were no ice trays. Had we known, we'd have brought bags of ice.
My mother, father, myself, my partner, and our son (9) visited here to go sledding. This is a nice little house, but needs a lot of work. We arrived at 4 pm and the cleaners were still there. They didn't leave until 5 pm. It took us a LONG time to get the heat up. It was around 55 degrees and the heater on the main floor just didn't seem to be able to raise the temperature. We relied on space heaters. We were somewhat separated between the basement and the very upper room as these were the only two TVs we could actually get to work. We couldn't use the fire place - couldn't get it to turn on and we received a note that said it had just been repaired and might now work - if we did turn it on, we were to check for a smoke smell upstairs! This made the main living room cold and with no TV - so that nice gathering area was out. The stairs on the way down to the basement area desperately needs a handrail on the other side - it's missing and they are quite steep stairs. We ended up leaving a day early, staying only one night instead of two. We just weren't comfortable. Dog next door will come to visit, but didn't bother us any. Does have a nice location and we didn't have any issues accessing the property.
We were only there for a few days, but the place was very clean, no real issues. TV was nice, seating was comfortable. Beds were mostly comfy -- the twin beds were a little small for an adult. The main floor was pretty toasty, but that's probably a very good thing in many situations.
The house was perfect for our family of 11. It was very clean and spacious while being conveniently located to the ski slopes. The host was very responsive!
The home was located in such a nice and quiet neighborhood and two minutes from Land of Oz that we came for. The deer in the neighborhood walk right up to you and my kids thought this was the coolest thing! Home has three levels and great space if you had multiple families staying. Andrew was always helpful if we had any questions. We will be back!
This home is very spacious and looks exactly like the photos in the ad. The views were beautiful.
What we didnât expect was to have NO running water. We were unable to wash dishes or brush our teeth; let alone shower. We had to use water bottles. Very dissatisfied as we were there with a family of 9 for a reunion for 2 1/2 days. In addition, there was a leak in the basement that was disclosed by the owners a few hours upon our arrival. While the dehumidifier ran, it smelled very musty .
Cabin was very comfortable for our family of ten. There is good separation of space for multiple generations to use. We did have a couple of issues during our stay but Andrew was attentive to address those.
We travel for business, rather than leisure. Spending the day in tight quarters on our feet, we need to spread out and relax to get up and do it again. This house was wonderful for that; with spacious great room and kitchen, and three large bedrooms located on different floors. Three bathrooms and a large kitchen to pack up lunches and snacks made the morning prep relatively easy.
However, the heart of a home is the kitchen. We arrived, turned on the icemaker the first night, and awoke to water running across the kitchen floor the next morning. A text to the owner revealed this was a known problem and repairs were scheduled next week. We tried several suggestions by the owner over the next four days while walking around the kitchen on towels and washing/drying them. Since this problem was known before our arrival, it would have been far better to warn me in advance not to use the icemaker. (A bag of ice in town was not expensive.)
Lovely house, much larger than it looks. Once fridge repairs are complete, I expect future guests will have a wonderful time.
We had a lovely stay in this home. It was wonderful not having to worry about bringing towels and sheets since they were included. There are so many places to sleep, but only 6 or 7 people can sit down at the dining table. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, pans, and accessories to make all your food at the house. The neighbors were so friendly and helpful when we needed it. The hiking trails nearby were good, and somewhat easy to get to.
The property manager was great to work with. The house and location were perfect for us. We really enjoyed our stay and would definitely recommend the property
Enjoyed a Christmas and snowboarding on the mountains. Coming from Florida it was all we hoped for . The property was darling and would most definitely go back . We felt so at home .
This home was just as described and very well stocked! I appreciated having lots of items in the kitchen and extra garbage bags, paper towels, TP etc. The lay out of the beds worked really well for us. Our group consisted of me, my 2 married children and the grandchildren. It was great to have a floor for each family. Having the lower level with a couch and TV and games was so helpful to have for the children. We had a question about the heat on the main floor and Andrew responded quickly and was even willing to stop by if we needed him to. Would stay here again if we are in that area. ***One note, the house in now gray with yellow trim, so don't be looking for brown and red.
A few of my closest friends from college stayed the weekend. We had a fun time remembering college days and watching football. House was clean and everything was as advertised.
