Country living close to Glasgow and Edinburgh, golf course in the village
A newly built cottage on a farm looking out over the orchard, with a terrace, garden and parking for large vehicles including horse boxes. The design is Scandinavian with lots of natural wood. The American style kitchen is weak equipped for cooking.
We enjoyed our stay at the stables, traveling as a group of 6⊠2 grandparents, 2 parents, and 2 kids. The space was bigger than it looked online and the property was a peaceful retreat after exploring the city. We didnât realize that there was a washing machine but no dryer, but there were drying racks provided both inside and outside, and we managed just fine. One of the beds was a bit uncomfortable- we could feel all of the springs- but the other 2 were good. Itâs a beautifully remodeled space and a great place to stay.
We really enjoyed our stay - the property was warm, clean and comfortable and had all the facilities we could wish for.
The underfloor heating was especially appreciated during our winter stay!
Lovely cosy property in a great location. Central for city and countryside exploring. The house is very well equipped and clean. Much bigger than we expected.Lovely, welcoming hosts. Hopefully we will return one day !! It was a real pleasure to stay here .
Really lovely property , great location peaceful lots of beautiful landscapes around .
Only comments would be to be prepared to purchase basics like Toilet paper , laundry detergent, no dryer * Could be an issue in cooler weather .
Extra towels would be a big help too. But overall great place
Just a delightfully character stone stable conversion. Warm, cosy, lovely furnishings and rural. Small development of properties, with lovely walks close to hand. Supermarket not far away for supplies, also the Tickled Trout pub provided good fayre. We will definitely return.
We found the cottage to be just as listed, clean, comfortable, and new. The kitchen is well equipped. Ian and Linda were the perfect hosts. Linda responded promptly to messages prior to arrival, and she was out of the country. We were greeted by Ian and his adorable cocker spaniel Willie , who was a friendly visitor during our stay. The cottage is ideally situated for trips to Glasgow, Edinburgh Loch Lomond and the Trossachs. It is in a quiet location with beautiful gardens and we enjoyed some country walks nearby. It was a perfect place for us to wind down our visit to Scotland and catch up with friends and family in Bishopbriggs prior to departure to US. We will be back.
We had a little trouble finding the location (the pin provided left us about a half mile away), but once we found the house, it more than met our needs. Ian was a wonderful host.
This house is clean, modern, and comfortable for 2-6 people in a quiet location with access to central Scotland (Glasgow, Stirling, Loch Lomond). We recommend highly
The cottage was perfectly clean and well appointed. Each room had everything we needed and more. The kitchen was well stocked with everything needed to cook at home.
Linda was extremely helpful, easy to reach and super easy to work with. I feel as if we're old friends. If you need a place to stay in Glasgow, this is the property. It is a close enough drive to the city but in the peaceful and beautiful countryside. Thank you Linda and Ian!
We waren direct onder de indruk van het huisje toen we binnenkwamen! Heel tof en netjes ingericht. Zeer proper! Alles wat je nodig hebt is aanwezig⊠we hebben genoten van onze dagen hier!
