The Concrete Castle - 7 floors with a Lift, Cinema and an 80ft high Roof Garden
Looking for a perfect place to host your group get together? Somewhere memorable you and your guests will have never experienced before? The Concrete Castle brings you something differentâŠ
Previously a redundant water tower, this iconic landmark offers far more than just 5 star facilities; it provides you and your guests with a unique and unforgettable experience perfect for that special get together, whether a celebration with friends or family or a corporate event with a difference.
This octagonal tower comfortably caters for 18 guests, with group accommodation split over 7 floors with the comfort of a passenger lift. In addition to itâs huge modern kitchen, multi-functional living room and 3 floors of bedrooms, The Concrete Castle also boasts a Games room and Theatre style cinema room. The jewel in the crown is the Towerâs roof garden, which at 80ft high offers incredible and unrivalled panoramic views across the Shotley Peninsula.
I booked this for our family for a surprise for my husbands 60th.
We had a long weekend and it was close by for us but what an amazing place. Thoroughly enjoyed by all we had a great time and would certainly go back - also had a private chef for one day which finished the weekend off
This property is a once in a lifetime experience. The facilities are amazing and the Cinema incredible. Very clean and a very thing you need to cater for 18 people!
My wife and I both have strong family roots in this area and still have family living close by. Although work and children of our own have taken us a little further afield, the Shotley Peninsula will always feel like home and is why we continue to appreciate the countryside. We love that we are able to share this special place with our guests.
The Concrete Castle is part of our family run business. We have over 10 years experience owning and running luxury self catering accommodation in Suffolk which started at Swilland Mill. Looking to expand our successful business and with a background in building and renovating, Freston Water Tower caught our eye.
Built in the 1950âs this prominent building was redundant for decades and is also close to our hearts in that it is situated on the Shotley Peninsula, close to Holbrook where we both grew up. The idea to transform this empty old building into an amazing place to stay took 5 years to become reality. We have meticulously restored and created the luxurious property it has now become and we are extremely proud that new life has been brought to this fantastic and imposing landmark that dominates the landscape.
The Concrete Castle offers far more than just luxury accommodation - it offers a unique holiday experience. Anything but conventional, the tower allows large groups to occupy different areas or even floors so that every guest can enjoy their own individual experience as well as making memories with their family or friends. The spacious nature of the property allows everyone to 'do their thing' and with 7 floors to choose from there is something for everyone.
