Everyone had an amazing time. The place is huge and packed with Idaho aesthetic. Every bedroom is nice and it feels like there are somehow more bathrooms than nessassary...in a 12 person cabin. The kitchen is big and the appliances are great. Full tank of propane under the grill. Could not ask for a better experience. Would book again.
The cabin was very beautiful and clean. You get that true cabin experience yet it's modern. The owner was very nice and takes very good care of their customers. Would recommend to everyone!
We enjoyed our stay and hope that we will be back soon! The property was better than expected, weâll kept and clean. There was plenty of room and in a quiet area which was something we were looking for. Couldnât ask for more...
Our team and clients had a wonderful weekend at this beautiful property. There was plenty of open space to prep, eat and relax together and apart. The beds were comfortable. The location was great to reconnect with nature. The home was lovely inside and out as well as clean and welcoming. I would highly recommend taking your own weekend getaway here.
We booked this last minute due to having to cancel my 40th bday trip to Hawaii. Weather wasn't the best but the location and property itself was great. Loved the close location to the golf course. Just minutes away from everything but still secluded for privacy. Would book again.
Beautiful cabin. Very clean!! My family and I enjoyed our stay! We brought many of our own dishes and utensils, but were very surprised that they had everything we needed. Owner Loren was very, very nice and accommodating. Will definitely be renting this place again. Thank you Loren!
The cabin was beautiful and clean. It had everything we needed and more. Only negative was the downstairs had a spider infestation. I know when you are in the country it normal. It was more than just your usual spiced here or there. We even came home with some in our bags. I would stay again. Just recommend doing something downstairs with the spiders.
Beautiful mountain retreat perfect for a large group. Private drive to the home is a bit tricky to find. A sign with the house number & an arrow at the turn would be helpful. Everyone greatly enjoyed their stay. đ€
We really enjoyed our time at this cabin. Booking was easy and communication with our host was good. The home was much larger than we thought and we enjoyed the space. The home has a rustic decor and fits well within its surroundings. The basement has two bedrooms and a really large shower/bathroom, but we found it to be really cold down there and we couldn't get the gas pilot light to stay lit on the gas heater so those who didn't mind cold floors and cold air were assigned to those bedrooms. Beds were all really comfortable throughout the cabin. Plenty of hot water for our group of 7 to shower and get ready in the morning. Cleanliness of the cabin was OK... meaning it wasn't really dirty but it just didn't feel really clean. For example, lots of bugs and spider webs between the windows and blinds... and mold in some of the showers. Again, it's not bad, maybe even somewhat expected for a cabin in the woods, but parts of the cabin are starting to feel their age and it's just hard to keep those areas feeling like they're super clean. We were able to buzz to the towns of Crouch, Garden Valley and Banks really quickly - ziplinging and whitewater rafting with Cascade Raft Company was excellent. It was also especially nice to be so close to Starlight Mountain Theater where we enjoyed a play called Newsies. Overall good experience and we'd rebook this cabin again unless we wanted to spend a little more to book someplace right on the river or right in town.
Cabin was amazing with real logs and shiplap throughout! The best cabin we have stayed in by far out of the 7 we have rented. I will look for yhis gem on for my future rentals.
Entrance door sticks and is very hard to open⊠loose rocks on steps down to house .. VERY DANGEROUSâŠ. Barbecue grill was unusable, decks are slanted a bit and wood feels unstable in places, house was not cleaned well and we had no body was or bar soap in any of the bath rooms. Dirty dishes in the cupboards,!! coffee maker had not been emptied or cleaned!!!! House was not very clean either and we only had a total of 2 garbages bags for our trash.!!!!!
So dirty and unsafe!!! Bat droppings made the upstairs balcony unusable. My nephew put his foot through a broken board on the main deck and we covered other weak boards with our coolers so no one else would get hurt. I turned down my bed and found black dog hair all over my sheets. Washing machine was available but the liquid detergent insert was missing⊠and liquid detergent was what was there and what weâd packed too. Floors were disgusting and there was no broom on the property. There were no kitchen washcloths or towels. In fact, we had a note that towels were left in the dryer because they ran out of time. When we finally needed them and opened the dryer, we found wet musty towels that required rewashing. Silverware in drawer had food on them. Showers were slimy. Shower door was sharp and left a large cut on our friendâs heal and ankle. No air conditioning requires opening windows but some of them had no screens - that was especially disappointing for the bedroom behind the kitchen that needed more air. Several wasp nests outside were a hazard. Every drawer and cupboard was packed full of unorganized junk so there was nowhere for our own things. Most of the kitchen utensils are melted or bent making you question safety and cleanliness every time you prep a meal. And speaking of meal prep, the bear skin that hangs above the kitchen (unachored or supported) actually fell from the second story onto my sister in lawâs head when she simply opened the refrigerator. It was heavy and scary and completely avoidable. Perhaps most shocking, an UNLOCKED pantry was stocked with prescription medications, lighters and ALCOHOL. We had quite a scare and a potential ER visit when my 10 month old nephew pierced a gelcap medication in his mouth - something he found on the floor that didnât belong to us. This is completely unacceptable!! Weâve stayed in a lot of VRBOs and this definitely doesnât meet the standards weâve appreciated and expected. We believe this listing should be removed until serious renovations are taken care of. It is fine if the owner wants to live in clutter and filth, but this home is not guest-ready in any way. We were severely disappointed!!
Overall, property was good and great location. Would definitely want to stay again.
Great fire pit; a lot of parking; great deck; and awesome view.
A few issues: leftover bacon still in oven; a lot of mouse droppings on top deck; main door handle broken and very hard to use; BBQ grill neglected/ needs some TLC; and hot tub not in service.
The cabin was really neat. There were plenty of windows to bring in light so it didn't feel so dark. Everyone especially liked the bears and elk that were mounted. The couches were comfy and there was plenty of seating for everyone. We played games, took walks, and even watched a kayaking competition. The fire pit had tall grass around it so we were not able to use it. There were plenty of bath/kitchen towels, but bring extra t.p. and paper towels. To quote my niece the cabin was "fairly clean". We did reach out to the owner about a few things, but nothing that stopped us from enjoying ourselves. We had a lot of family fun and we're able to see deer, squirrels, and even bats.
Lovely property; but plumbing problems. Sewer smells in basement; bathroom unusable due to being retiled. We were not notified of this. Dishwasher difficult to use due to broken top rack. Kitchen sink backed up.
We were glad the host was responsive as one vehicle got stuck in the snow and the door code didnât work. Once inside after hauling up some firewood, we were able to get warm and enjoy our time. Lots of room, great for multiple families, great comfy beds! The kitchen is well stocked! Everything was clean. We were bummed that an entire bathroom was out of commission as well as the hot tub in the picture. But overall, we enjoyed ourselves!
My name is Loren and I grew up In a small town in Huff, North Dakota. I made Idaho my Second home 20 plus years ago. I bought this home because my family and I enjoy Hunting , Fishing , snowmobiling and the many other things that the mountain air has to offer. Anyone and everyone who has been or has stayed at this property have just loved it. It has that log-cabin feel away from the hustle and bustle of city life. It is quiet and private with a lot of wildlife that frequents the property..even the neighbors harmless pot bellied pig at times. Give this property a try you are sure to love it! I am always here to answer any questions, wants or needs to make your stay even more enjoyable than you ever expected.
There are tons of Natural Hot- Springs in the area that most people can get to. Terrace Lake's Resort just up the Hill from the property also has a Public Hot Spring Pool open year round and Golf-Course (seasonal) Awesome Kayaking and Guided White Water Rafting just minutes away. Views that will take your breath away.
