à propos de cet hébergement
Walnut Star Tent @finders Keepers France. Adults Only Retreat. 13 Acres and Lake
Finders Keepers France is an ADULTS ONLY Camping and Glamping retreat situated at a non-working French Farm. Encased in 16 Acres of rural grounds and with a 3 Acre fresh water lake, you will feel alone and surrounded by nature. Despite its rural peaceful setting the site is close to the towns of Nerac and Condom yet far enough away for people to enjoy the peace and quiet of Nature.
The campsite is located within a walnut orchard and consists of only 4 tents plus 1 holiday cottage.
Walnut Star is a large 5m canvas tent with fabulous views of the surrounding countryside. Mounted on a decked platform it allows an elevated view. It contains: 1 double bed, bedding, towels, robes, outdoor beach towels, indoor chairs, and solar lighting. There is a small private cooking area outside the tent with 2 camping stoves, BBQ, pans, cooking utensils, crockery and cutlery. The tent also has a picnic table, 2 sun lounger chairs, a tree chair hammock, plus fabulous views of the surrounding fields and chateau.
Communal area: The camping/glamping area also has a communal summer house kitchen within the orchard. This contains a fridge, hot and cold running water, sink, drinking water, double electric hob, fridge, iron, ironing board, hairdryer, manual washing machine, table and chairs, and a recycling zone.
WC/Bathroom: shared Eco green composting toilet close to the tents and a flushing toilet by the main social area. There is a mains shower by the main social area plus an open-air ECO Mediterranean outdoor shower by the swimming pool.
We are an eco-retreat therefore try to keep light pollution to a minimum. This allows fabulous sky viewing and interest from wildlife. A telescope is available for use at no extra cost. All our outdoor lighting and internal tent lighting is solar. We do advise that you bring a torch just in case their power is low.
There is an above ground swimming pool, a plunge pool, plus you can swim in the 3-acre freshwater lake. Around the lake you will find many picnic benches, 2 rowing boats and a Canadian kayak.
Activities: Outdoors there is Archery, badminton, a pool table, swimming, and a chess board. Indoors there is a games room with a dart board, board games, book library, pool table and a TV.
Refreshments: Café that sells drinks only (No food). Ice cream and milk shake bar.
Shop: Small camping shop that sells crafts, art work and home made items.
Parking for any size vehicle. No electric hook up.
At the property you will also find 3 rescue dogs. A naughty Chihuahua called Nigel, a very young nervous chihuahua called Eddie, and a shitzu x called Lewis. There are also 3 rescue cats called Sunflower, Dumpy, and Ginger who live in the grounds.
We have placed many hammocks, tables, chairs and benches in and around the grounds so you can just sit, relax and enjoy the views, wildlife, and weather. Plus, there is an indoor and an outdoor communal lounge.
We focus on leaving technology behind therefore we do not offer Wi-Fi. We ask noise to be kept to a minimum for the benefit of the guests that stay with us. Music will be played in the café lounge bar when open.

Foire aux questions
Qui vous reçoit ?
Vous ĂȘtes reçu par Paula and Darren
We are a husband and wife team who are the owners of Finders Keepers France. We moved to the South of France back in 2016 after working in the Medical branch of the Royal Navy. Passionate about the outdoors, nature and France our vision is to offer a rural retreat for those needing a break from the hustle and bustle of everyday life. Surrounded by views, wildlife, and silence, Finders Keepers France allows guests to recharge, refresh and relax whilst enjoying the facilities we have to offer. Independently developing and maintaining the business has allowed us to offer a personal touch and natural feel whilst retaining its rustic natural charm.
Becoming an LPO refuge (Ligue pour la Protection des Oiseaux) in 2017 provided us with the knowledge and support to develop the grounds to protect the visiting wildlife, monitor potential hazards, and restore natural habitats. The increase in wildlife habitats and nesting boxes around the grounds has resulted in an increase in many species of animals, including an endangered European Mink. Â
The development of a butterfly meadow has seen a huge increase in butterfly's and moths, and Participating in Open Gardens has seen the gardens open to the public once a year, raising money for local charitable causes.
We are always on the look out for new adventures and new developments, and are known locally for adopting animals in need. We have adopted some ex battery hens, 4 rescue cats and 4 rescue dogs.Â
We hope we can meet you all soon.
