This beautifully refurbished holiday cottage began life as a modest hay barn on a working farm and has now been completely transformed into a tastefully furnished retreat within just a short distance of some of the best loved towns, beaches and attractions of West Cornwall.

Inside, guests will discover a stylish and airy open plan living area which is the perfect place for relaxing in after an activity-filled day; while a fully fitted kitchen is ideal for rustling up delicious dinners and (for those more adventurous cooks) a few home-baked treats. Incorporated into the space on this floor, a convivial dining area creates an inviting place to share meals and conversation, while outside the enclosed private garden tempts morning coffees and alfresco dinners in the sunshine.

Upstairs, the cottage’s two spacious bedrooms feature a gorgeous king size bed in the master and twin beds in the second, with high quality mattresses and luxury bedding creating a relaxing place to retreat to for an afternoon nap or a peaceful night’s sleep.

2 pets accepted: Please advise the Luxury Coastal team directly if you would like us to host your pet after completing your booking. A charge of £40 per pet per stay/week will be applicable and required before your stay. We will arrange and invoice with you directly upon booking confirmation.

Perfect getaway

Stayed for a couple of days over New years, was the perfect getaway for us. Close amenities, tourist spots were close. Would 100% book again if we decide to come to Cornwall again.

The Old Hay Barn, Crowlas

The accommodation was beautiful and looked exactly like the photographs. Lovely space, very clean, helpful leaflets were left on the table, clear instructions were sent prior to our visit.

Lovely cottage and great location!

We were delighted with our stay at the Old Hay Barn. The cottage was as lovely as it looked in the pictures and spotlessly clean. The beds were very comfortable and it had an excellent shower in the bathroom. The kitchen was well equipped and had everything we needed for our stay. The location was perfect for exploring that part of Cornwall. The price of our stay was also very reasonable. Would definitely recommend it and book through Luxury Coastal again

Nice cottage in a good location

Overall very nice place with all that you’d need for a stay. The property was a great size, parking and garden was easy and decent. There was enough kitchen bits, towels, things like toilet paper, soap, washing up liquid etc to last, and overall space to make the stay easy and comfortable. Met the host who was very friendly and gave great recommendations for eating out and great pasty shops.

Enjoyable stay

We had a 3 night stay over Easter. The house is spacious and a good layout. There was a welcome pack on arrival which was nice. It’s in a good location with both Penzance and St Ives being nearby. You need to drive everywhere as it’s not suitable to walk due to busy A road. We came with our dog so found that difficult. The mattress in the main bedroom wasn’t very comfortable and could probably do with changing. The kitchen could do with more plates, bowls etc. There was also no corkscrew so we contacted the host and he said he would drop one in but never did so we had to buy one. The last place we stayed with luxury coastal was a much higher standard.

First the good things . The property is well located with good parking. The kitchen is fully equipped and very clean as is the bathroom. BUT the garden was overgrown near the steps that would make it hazardous for children and older people. The staircase doesn’t have any curtains neither does the back door or kitchen. The biggest problem however was the mice under the kitchen cabinets they were so bold they would walk around the kitchen eating crumbs of the floor when we were there. So I would not stay there again . I did leave a message with the owner about the mice infestation and he may well deal with it .

Nettes Willkommen, wertvolle Informationen in einer Infomappe. Die Wohnung ist modern und optisch ansprechend eingerichtet, aber etwas minimalistisch ausgestattet (z.B. Geschirr, Töpfe). Die Lage ist gut zum Erkunden, aber an einer sehr befahrenen Straße. Schöner Garten , tolle Strände in der Nähe (Mut Bus oder Auto erreichbar)
