Ohana means "Family" in Hawaii...
Located in peaceful Kalamar, overlooking Kalamar Bay, the sea views from Villa Ohana Kalkan are spectacular. Our home is designed to connect the indoor and outside living spaces with the sea and the mountains.

Villa Ohana is bright, clean and fresh to the rental market. It has a private feel, spacious rooms and great indoor and outdoor living and dining areas and is a mere 200m from the sea.
You’ll find excellent restaurants, bars and beach clubs a 10-minute walk nearby. Several markets will also deliver direct to you. Old Town is a very short and inexpensive taxi ride.

Of the 5 bedrooms, there are 3 en-suite bedrooms which all face the sea and have access to large terraces with fabulous views. There are 2 additional bedrooms which are more suited to children. There is also a 1 full bath on the ground level.

The master suite is huge and has a private full length sea view balcony as well as a luxury, full bathroom with walk-in rain shower. The sea view roof terrace has sun loungers and chairs and its own kitchenette, so you can enjoy cocktails while watching the sunset over the mountains. The kitchen has quartz countertops and includes an oven, hob, microwave, extractor fan, dishwasher, fridge, freezer and water cooler; and is a well thought out and functional space. We have a wide variety of coffee makers, even including a Nespresso Machine (Capsules easily purchased at nearby Carrefour). All 4 bathrooms are clean and modern. The villa is air-conditioned throughout, has ceiling or floor fans in every room, and insect screens are fitted to windows and doors.

The villa has wireless internet, Satellite/Smart TV, as well as a collection of books for the rare, rainy day. Outside there are a variety of pretty seating areas (both shady and sunny) on the patios, with plants and fruit trees and some of the largest bougainvillea in town. There is a covered outdoor lounging/dining area with ceiling fan. The private pool has sun loungers and parasols situated about, and also a heater for shoulder seasons. There’s even an outdoor shower to rinse off after swimming. The villa's slightly elevated position allows fabulous views of the Mediterranean Sea and surrounding mountains.

For stays in excess of 10 nights, full cleaning and linen change is carried out weekly. (or more frequently by arrangement).

The Villa rental price includes the cost of the normal usage of gas, electricity, water and weekly cleanings. For a small daily rate, there is an option to heat the pool for shoulder seasons.

A Poolman/Gardener attends to these items daily at the Villa.

Great stay in fantastic villa

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Villa Ohana and would recommend it highly. Villa is at the edge of Kalkan with views to Lycian way an sea but just a few mins in taxi to Kalkan centre. Taxis are cheap and plentiful. Villa is extremely well equipped with everything you could need and lots of thoughtful touches. Very nicely decorated. All larger bedrooms have balconies with sea views. Air con is excellent. Pool and outside area are attractive with lovely plants loungers, shady spots, shaded eating area etc roof terrace with good views. Excellent and helpful comms from owner and villa manager who is based locally and popped by on first day. Had a great week in Kalkan, hadnt been since 2004 but hope to return before another 20 years is out!

Beautiful villa

This villa is tastefully decorated. All rooms are very well equipped especially the kitchen. There is lots of seating areas the roof area is fantastic. We made use of the BBQ whilst we were there. The surrounding area has lots of restaurants and there is a couple of beach clubs just down the road. All in all a fantastic holiday was had by all. Thank you.

Villa Ohana - lovely villa in Kalkan, hosted by Anna who

We had a wonderful holiday at Villa Ohana. The communication with Anna prior to our holiday and during our stay was excellent. The villa itself was very clean and spacious for 2 families with teenagers and had a very well equipped kitchen. The welcome pack was a lovely touch too! The pool was spotless and there are several different seating areas around the villa for quiet time away from the group for a cheeky nap, all framed by the beautifully placed plants and flowers. The roof terrace is glorious for a G&T at the end of the day before dinner with stunning views. Kalkan and the surrounding area is beautiful with plenty of things to do, although seriously hilly!! we recommend the following: 1. Things to do: - [ ] Kalkan Beach Club - fun in the sea, bed hire reasonable but food is disappointing and on the expensive side. - [ ] Potara Beach - (you need a car) lovely beach but the sand was crazy hot so if you have very small children it might be hard work! - [ ] Roman ruins - an interesting visit - [ ] Boat trip with ‘Neptune’ - we did this on our second last to day and thoroughly recommend treating yourselves to this - a beautiful day at sea with lunch and afternoon tea, with several stops to swim, snorkel and have a mud bath! Even the captain’s dog Zoe came for Swim! Cream up though - we caught a lot of sun! - [ ] Saklikan Gorge - again a drive away and definitely take water shoes! 2. Eating out - [ ] House, nearby is excellent, so welcoming and friendly and the food is excellent! - [ ] There are many restaurants in old town, we visited the following : - Salt & Pepper - Trio - Sunset restaurant - the homemade lemonade with Bacardi was lovely! After visiting the Gorge we ate at The Degirmen Restaurant (Trout Farm) which has beautiful views and fantastic food that is very reasonably priced. We also had a great evening at the Kalkan Regency Hotel, on a Wednesday evening they have a BBQ and Turkish dancing - the food was incredible - a great opportunity to sample lots of different Turkish dishes buffet style. A lovely place to visit - I would definitely return!

My name is Anna Irish Price and, along with my husband Russell, am the proud owner of Villa Ohana. We are in the corporate aviation business and that requires us to live overseas and travel for work extensively. After several years of Asian living, we are currently located in the Middle East.

When we are on our downtime, we are either checking off our "bucket list" of worldwide places to explore, visiting family in New England or relaxing in our Hawaiian home, where we enjoy the Aloha spirit and the Hawaiian culture. The Big Island has a special place in our hearts, as this was where we were married. This is the place that makes us the happiest, so we decided to finally own a piece of this paradise. We needed a place to come home to and call our very own.

On the other hand, we love the Mediterranean lifestyle, the Sea, culture, food, history, and the people. Kalkan, Turkey has always maintained that special vibrancy along with stunning scenic beauty, and we recently decided to purchase a vacation home here as well. Now we can enjoy the best of two worlds: the Pacific and the Mediterranean.

Of course, we can’t be in both places at once and work also takes us far away from both homes, so sharing the villas allows family, friends and guests to enjoy their comforts. To symbolically link our new Kalkan seafront home with our Hawaiian Villa, we decided on the name Villa Ohana. In Hawaii “Ohana” means family and we hope your family will feel right at home during your holiday.

We enjoy our visits to our villas. We are confident you will, too, and I pledge to assist you to make your dream vacation a reality.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

Although, our real home is in Hawaii and we love the Pacific Ocean, the Mediterranean Sea has that unique feel that can't be copied. Kalkan, Turkey is still an unspoiled paradise where one can live and enjoy life, just as thousands of years of preceding civilizations have also.

Quels sont les atouts de cet hébergement ?

When we saw this Villa, we decided immediately to purchase it and also to name it Ohana. The privacy, mountain and sea views, indoor/outdoor flow and living spaces all made it our perfect fit.
