You will be only minutes from the Royal Birkdale & Hillside golf courses, as well as many others in the area. There is close access to lovely endless coastal seaside walks and trails, as well as Southport’s own Marine Lake with its many activities and the neighbouring nature reserves in Ainsdale through to Formby.
The infamous village of Birkdale is only a 10 minute walk and here you will find it brimming with bars, cafes, high quality restaurants and gorgeous boutiques. Birkdale train station will take you directly to surrounding areas such as Ainsdale, Formby etc. and onto Liverpool city centre, Liverpool airport and Chester.
You can also easily visit historic Churchtown full of boutiques and pubs by bus, car or foot for a relaxing 30-40 minute walk.
Southport town centre is also a 15-20 minute walk where you will find the mile long stretch of shops and cafes on Lord street, as well as the promenade with all its holiday attractions. From Southport there is also a direct train to Manchester City Centre and Manchester airport.
For a day out of Southport, the Lake District is approximately an hour and a half drive and Parbold is about 30 minutes away.

There are bus stops near the house which will take you all around the surrounding areas of Southport, as well as many train options.
