Northwoods Luxury - Lac privé, cuisine gastronomique, sauna!

Belle cabane d'hôtes située sur 170 acres! Lac privé, vue, cuisine gastronomique, baignoire jacuzzi, TV satellite, 2 chambres avec lits queen, 2 salles de bain, sauna en cèdre personnalisé, randonnée, ski de fond, vélo et plus encore. Situé à 30 miles à l'ouest de Hayward et à 12 miles au nord-ouest du centre-ville de Spooner dans les magnifiques Northwoods du Wisconsin.

Il s'agit d'un hébergement 5 étoiles. Vous ne serez pas déçu et une grande retraite à chaque saison! En été et en automne, profitez du foyer extérieur, du pédalo, du canot et de la chaloupe (à moteur électrique), du radeau de baignade et des sentiers de marche et de vélo. En hiver, installez-vous confortablement avec un bon livre et du chocolat chaud devant le foyer au gaz ou profitez du sauna personnalisé en cèdre après la raquette ou le ski de fond.

La cuisine comprend des appareils en acier inoxydable, y compris une cuisinière à gaz et un four à convection électrique, et est bien garnie de casseroles, poêles, plats - tout ce dont vous avez besoin pour faire de bons repas et un barbecue à gaz en plein air. Il y a la télévision par satellite, un lecteur DVD et un lecteur CD avec station d'accueil pour iPod et wifi.

Vous apprécierez l'intimité et la solitude sur cette retraite de 170 acres avec des collines, des arbres et des sentiers privés. Notre cabine confortable a de beaux planchers et plafonds en bois dur, des armoires en érable, des carreaux naturels et un foyer au gaz avec une vue magnifique sur la nature depuis l'espace de vie décloisonné. Peaceful getaway

Really lovely property next to a lovely lake. Property owner was really responsive whenever there was any issue, the kitchen was great to cook in, and the beds were really comfortable. We canoed around the lake, and it was a great way to finish up a great day. The rest of the area has a couple of cute towns, nice restaurants, and it's a fun, relaxing weekend.

Great stay !

Beautiful 2nd floor guest house ! Perch Lake was still, quiet and spectacular fall foliage. Owners, Brenda and Heidi were very communicative and helpful. We enjoyed a bike ride to Big Mckenzie lake and visit to Spooner. House was very nicely designed and appointed. The sauna and shower on lower level is very nice and welcomer on a cool day. Stairs up to the 2nd floor are steep and easy to misstep. railing should be routed for a safer hand grip. We would like tot come again and have already recommended the guest house to friends. Thanks, a lot. !

Wonderful Stress Reliever

This property was just what the "doctor" ordered after a stressful year of dealing with the health issues of our elderly cats and the death of one of them. I loved the view from the deck and enjoyed reading and drinking coffee at the kitchen counter every morning. We took the hike around the lake and enjoyed that as well. The cabin was well equipped with everything we needed. A word of warning for elderly people who might be contemplating a stay. There are about 16 steep steps to the kitchen upon entering thru the front entrance. You can also enter via the deck side which is a little easier to climb, but that door needs to be unlocked first. Also, it might not be clear to guests that the entrance to the sauna and 2nd bathroom is thru the garage or via an outside door. I mistakenly thought you could use the 2nd bathroom directly from the main cabin area without having to go thru the garage or go outside. The hosts respected our privacy and also were very responsive to a problem we had with a broken seat on the canoe. It was fixed immediately. A good hiking spot near Spooner is the Hunt Hill Audubon Sanctuary. Also, we recommend the Trego Nature Nature Trail along the Namekagon River. All in all, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

Northwoods Stay

The property is beautiful. Very pretty lake and beautiful trees. The guest house you stay in is very nice, clean and well equipped. The guest house is above a shared garage. This garage is used by the owners regularly. The second bathroom and sauna are only accessable through the shared garage or outside. If you bring dogs you will need to coordinate with the owner each time you go outside with them and when you come back in. The property is also used by the owners friends and family, so you will have company using the dock that is below the rental and the garage since that's where the boat equipment is kept. All in all, a very nice house and property, but a little too busy for our taste and the regular messaging with the owner to coordinate who would be outside when was not conducive for relaxation.

A magical Trip!

My two boys (10 and 14) had the most magical trip. Fishing and swimming and playing card games. The VRBO has Beautiful! Comfortable beds! Best sheets ever! Will definitely be going back!

Back to Nature

A wonderful cabin in a beautiful setting. It really does feel like you are in a tree house. But a very well-equipped one. The sauna was a nice extra. The deck gets morning and evening shade so we ate breakfast and dinner outside most days. You are near several bar and grills for pizza, burgers, fish fry, etc. And about 20 minutes to Spooner for great coffee at Redemption Coffee. It was a great location for seeing a lot of Northern Wisconsin, and about 2 hours to MSP. The wildlife is plentiful—deer, squirrels, hummingbirds, songbirds, and we spotted a bald eagle and a piebald fawn. Very peaceful and surrounded by trees, through which you can see the lake below. Very scenic and peaceful, a calming retreat to enjoy family time.

Very Relaxing

We had a very peaceful week at this property. Due to the heat and very dry conditions, we did not do much outside (like the fire pit). We did walk in the area early each morning and enjoyed the wildlife -- except for the ticks! Thankfully, the owners warned us beforehand so we (and our dog) were prepared. Watched a lot of movies, took daily naps, and enjoyed the wonderful surroundings. Could not have asked for a better stay!

Lake House

The place was wonderful. Absolutely beautiful and remote. My one concern/rub was the stairs. My girlfriend has bad arthritis in her hips and knees. She had a very hard time with the 20 stairs from the entrance to the living area. If you're physically impaired this is not the place for you. The fishing in the private lake is incredible. Never seen bluegills that big or that many and lots of eager bass also but carrying the battery up and down the stairs/walk from the garage to the lake and back for charging is a young persons chore. Otherwise I absolutely loved it and at 67 years old I hope I have it in me to do it again next year.

Nice property!

My family and I visited this property for spring break in the middle of March. We had bad weather that served as bookends for our trip. The private drive was not cleared when we got there at check in, but we were able to make it to the house using all-wheel drive. The snow plow service came later that evening and did a fantastic job. The sauna was amazing and was a great break from the cold. The house was very clean, but found it difficult as a family of 4 to have our own space. In the middle of winter, there is not a lot to do within an hour’s drive of the place. All the “touristy” attractions were shut down. There is a bar and restaurant called What the Heck that is 3 miles north, which was a great place to go and had excellent pizza. We brought our snowshoes and cross country skis, and enjoyed using them on the lake. The property is pet friendly, and we brought our dog. The property manager’s mother lives in a house on the same private road, and it was difficult to get used to texting back-and-forth when our respective dogs needed to go outside. The place is very well-kept, clean, and tucked away in the northwest Wisconsin woods. We would definitely visit again.

warm and inviting

if you like forest and water this is a great secluded place for you. the owners are on property, however dont let that stop you. you are only 15 min to town, but feels like your 100s of miles from people. we truly enjoyed our little soire.

I am a semi retired author and psychologist. When not enjoying the beauty and solitude of my lake home, I have a private practice in the Twin Cities and spend time in Santa Fe, NM where my son, daughter and I own a boutique hotel.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

After travelling to China in the late 80's and seeing so many people, I was determined to purchase land. I built the main house in the early 90's and about 10 years later built the guest house, which we open up to vacation rentals. I feel in love with the land and the abundant nature. I enjoy setting on the doc or the deck and enjoy just watching nature and all her critters.

With 170 acres, this property is truly private and very peaceful. The stress of city life just leaves you as you watch eagles, deer, song birds, otters and turtles in their natural habitat. I have kept the lake as natural as possible and with no motor boats, it keeps things very serene.
