Private Villa, Hillside, Sea View in Quiet Area, Own Pool, 20 min to the Beach

Our villa is located in the hills overlooking Vilamoura within walking distance of the historic traditional Algarve village of Boliqueime and 4 lovely restaurants. We have orchards on both sides of the property and grazing land in the fore ground where you will often find a herd of goats and sheep with bells.

The name 'Casa dos Sonhos' means 'House of Dreams' and we really hope you will find it is your dream holiday home.

To reach our villa you will pass along small drystone wall lined single tract roads overhung with olive and carob trees. At night we can hear owls and at first light song birds fill the air with their calls. If you are looking for peace and quiet this is the spot, but if you want to have a day at the beach or a night on the town were close enough for an Uber or self drive.

The property has both a wood burning fire for the winter and a wood burning BBQ for alfresco eating, wood is provided in with the fee. The pool is attended to twice a week and the garden once a week. The garden and house is fed from our own bore hole and the drinking water is filtered by a reverse osmosis water purification system, which means you do not need to buy bottled water.

All our bedrooms have AC and if you're staying in winter the largest en-suite has full under floor heating. The villa is home for 10 months a year and is only let in the peak summer period and Christmas and New Year when we will go back to the UK to see our family. As a result you will be renting our beautiful home and not just a property only available to let.

We had a wonderful holiday in this beautiful villa. The standard of accommodation is very high and very comfortable with air-con in the bedrooms. The pool was fantastic and the outside area is very nicely done with plenty of loungers, chairs and sunshades, and a lovely shaded eating area on the terrace. The villa is in a very peaceful spot but only a short drive to the coast. Would highly recommend.

A relaxing stay

Comfortable villa in a quiet part of the Algarve.Uninterrupted views to the coast from the patio/pool area, and no neighbours in sight.Close to a small village, but with several bars/restaurants a short drive or walk away.Well situated for exploring, and several good beaches within 20 minutes drive if that is your thing.Had everything we needed. Would return.

Lovely holiday

We had an amazing holiday. The villa was just as described. Weather was perfect. Beds were very comfy, shutters kept the light out so we had a great nights sleep. The pool was nice and it helped having plenty of parasols. We enjoyed eating out at the local town, villamoura and vale de lobo. Overall villa was great quality with everything we needed.

Beautiful!

We had a lovely stay at this villa. For us, it was a perfect location - just outside the village in a quiet and private spot but with easy access to the village, beaches and towns in the Algarve by car. The villa is exceptionally well equipped and very very comfortable both inside and out. The little orchard gave us fresh figs, lemons and limes! The pool is a great size for swimming, play and relaxing. Sarah - our host was very helpful and always prompt in replying to any questions. Thoroughly recommend!!

Beautiful villa in a quiet area.

The villa was immaculate and furnished to a high standard and had everything you would need and more. It was very spacious and the pool area was lovely with plenty of outdoor seating and umbrellas and also had areas to eat on the balcony (under the shade) or just chill with a nice glass of wine ! It was pure bliss and relaxing in a very quiet area, just perfect. We hired a car and visited lots of the beautiful places in Portugal. Lidl & Aldi are a short drive away and enjoyed eating out at Vilamoura marina and the beach was lovely too. We recommend hiring a car which was very easy, picked up at the airport. We had a lovely time at Sarah’s villa. The villa is clean and you can tell it’s someone’s house as it is really well cared for. The bedrooms are roomy and all have air con for when it gets hot. The pool and outside space is fab, we enjoyed the pool. There are plenty of sun loungers for those who need to stay out of the sun. We didn’t spend much time inside the villa in the lounge / dining room as the outside space was so good. 2 bbqs was a treat to be able to eat at the villa. We mostly ate out. Mondays is tricky in the local village - but we went to the local burger place it was great - one of our party is vegetarian and she said the vegi burger was really good. We went to many a supermarket on the last day found pingo near villamoura which seemed the best one.

Great stay

We had a great stay at Sarah's house. The house and its 3 bedrooms were perfect for our family, the pool where we could spend many of our mornings was clearly a plus. Communication with Sarah was very easy, information about the house and the various people who look after the garden, pool and house was clear. You should know that the gardener comes several times a week to empty the bins and look after the garden. We didn't mind, but he does come several times a week, sometimes unannounced, so if you like your privacy, that's good to know. The jacuzzi shown in the photos is no longer there either, but at 40 degrees we didn't miss it ;) Finally, we really liked the peaceful setting of Boliqueime. A car is clearly necessary, as the centre of Albufeira is a 15-minute drive away.

Delightful villa

Villa and owners were/are fantastic. The villa is a quiet road off of any main roads, walking distance to a small little town. The villa has everything you need and has a lovely view over Boliqueime with the sea as a background. Rooms are great sizes, bathrooms and kitchen are excellent for us as a family of 4. We had a lovely stay and cannot fault anything.

Beautiful

A fantastic property. Quiet, clean, beautiful pool & gardens, comfortable beds, spacious rooms. Car definitely needed & driving (through the village & steep driveway) takes some getting used to, but definitely worth it. Fabulous holiday.

We are an English family who fell in love with Portugal many years ago, we have recently retired and spend 10 months a year at Casa dos Sonhos travelling back to the UK for the peak season of July and August and over Christmas to visit our family. Our adult daughter lives in the UK and we stay with her when we go back. We love the peace and tranquillity of the villa with it's easy access to all amenities and one of our favourite things to do is open a chilled bottle of Portuguese rose and look out to sea over the hills as the sun goes down.

Pourquoi avoir choisi cet hébergement ?

Previously to owning this villa we had an apartment in Albufeira, we have been visiting the Algarve for many years. We love the people, the climate and the food.

Casa dos Sonhos is comfortable and we love the peace and local wildlife and the wonderful views. Nothing better to start the day than a cup of tea sitting in bed looking at the sea view
