For any golfing fan, Cherryhill could not be better situated. Only a five minute drive from the first tee of one of the most prestigious golf courses in the world, Royal County Down.

Cherryhill is situated perfectly for walkers being only minutes from Slieve Donard, the biggest mountain in Northern Ireland and right on 2 great walking trails - The Mourne Way and The Newcastle Way. Step out your front door and you get straight on to either of these fantastic walks in this Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

Murlough Nature Reserve is a five minute drive from Cherryhill Lodge, Murlough National Nature Reserve is a fragile 6000 year old sand dune system owned by the National Trust and managed as Ireland’s first Nature Reserve since 1967. It is an excellent area for walking and bird watching due to its spectacular location at the edge of Dundrum Bay and the Mourne Mountains.

Only a 20 minute drive from Cherryhill Lodge is the award winning Tyrella beach and dune conservation area. This is a small, enclosed complex within Dundrum Bay, Downpatrick, County Down. It is a wide, flat, sandy beach two kilometres long and backed by 25 hectares of mature dunes in a conservation area offering scenic walks and an insight into the habitat of local flora and fauna.

We had a wonderful stay at Cherryhill!

Patricia and John were very friendly and helpful. The room was clean and spacious. Breakfast was excellent. The location was fantastic and easy to find. We really enjoyed our 3 night stay. We would highly recommend Cherryhill and we would stay again if we are back in the area.

The perfect place to stay for some calm and tranquil moments in beautiful surroundings!

All too often these days, services, accommodations, restaurants, etc seem to not be as advertised. That was definitely not the case with Cherryhill Lodge! The hospitality when I walked in the door was tremendous, and the room I booked was exactly as shown on the website (you would be surprised how many places aren't!). Everything was clean, functioning and comfortable. Special note to the breakfast which was outstanding each day and prepared with great attention to detail.

Deliciously charming B&B with spectacular view

This was by far our favorite stay during our trip! The hosts are so friendly, the rooms are very clean, and the view from the breakfast room was beautiful. And speaking of breakfast...so delicious! We can't say enough good things about the time we spent here - would definitely recommend to anyone!
