Les points faibles : Communication et exactitude de lâannonce
Upon arrival, we were met with musty sheets on the beds, which I had to clean myself, and lake amenities that were unusable. The paddleboard was broken and infested with carpenter ants, the kayak hadn't been used in ages, and the pedal boat was nonfunctional, a fact we only learn en route to the property. The first hour and a half of our vacation was spent stripping/cleaning beds, while my husband and daughters attempted to clean out the infested and broken lake gear. We contacted Vrbo when the owner failed to respond to the message through Vrbo, and the representative made us wait over an hour on the phone for the owner. She repeated the claim that they had no way of knowing items were broken unless previous guests reported them, and said that the guests that left at 11am that day told them when they left that the pedal boat was not working, and promised to bring clean sheets and a paddleboard "right away." 45 minutes LATER, they arrived with an inflatable paddle board and sheets, promising to get new equipment for the lake the next morning-a promise they failed to keep. The lakefront listing highlighted water equipment that was clearly not maintained or functional-which amounts to false advertising. The owners insisting that they aren't aware of broken amenities unless someone informs is unacceptable for a property that is actively marketed and rented. Overall, it was a very disappointing experience, with Vrbo and the property owners.
Had an amazing stay on the lake. Out with family and dogs to visit nearby family and this was an excellent place. Quiet, peaceful yet close to everything we needed. Host was quick and easy to communicate with and was very accommodating. Will be the first listing we look for the next time we're heading this way.
Property was in good/clean condition. Location was perfect, quiet and secluded yet close to everything you need! Very easy communication with property owners!
The yard to the water is beautiful! It is peaceful with a great view of the water. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and on the dock by the water. The house had plenty of room for our group of 5. We appreciated the games and puzzles. Unfortunately, all the furniture outside was so dirty we had to clean it to use it and the paddle boat was so full of water and rotting leaves it was unusable.
Good location in a finger off Lake Norman. We needed to have come a little later in the season to boat from the dock. The neighborhood is quiet and properties well spaced out for privacy The house has a nice floor plan and is as described. The bathrooms have been beautifully renivated.
We enjoyed a peaceful Thanksgiving week in calm, wooded tranquility. We were escaping from the piles of destruction caused by hurricane Helene. The cottage is well located for walking and hiking and getting to nearby towns. It had everything we needed to cook and to be comfortable.
The interior of the home was very nice and everything you need, however, cabinets and closet are unkept. Sheets are thrown in , not folded. Pots are completely unorganized. The exterior of this place was completely neglected. Although it was autumn, the leaves completely covered the grounds and driveway which made it challenging and unsafe for us as new renters. The driveway has several ruts and walking was nearly impossible without twisting an ankle. The water toys/ floats were submerged under rain water and leaves. Unable for anyone to use. This appears to be a rental pit.
We arrived under the splendor of Fall leaves to this charming lake setting We were in town for Carolina Renaissance Festival. There are so many â sitting downâ cozy conversation areas inside and out. The woods around are enchanting and the end of the lake cove feels private . The bathrooms are immaculately clean and well designed. We truly loved our stay
Communication with host was excellent! Quiet area yet 20 minutes from all that Mooresville has to offer. Clean and well maintained! Didnât get the opportunity to utilize the lake but would be great in warmer weather!!
I travel a ton with work and never get time with my family and this offered the best opportunity for me to have a home away from home and spend quality time with my family. Great relaxing location right on the water. My son and I got to watch a family of whitetail play in lake. Truly a wonderful time.
We rented the house to stay while our daughter is moving to Davidson College. The house exceeded our expectations - very clean, provided everything you need to stay and enjoy the lake. We couldnât use the water toys, but catch few catfish. We are in love with that place and definitely will visit again this house. Highly recommend it.
Phenomenal neighborhood in a great area with so much to do and so many places to eat. Beautiful quaint lake house with its own private dock giving you access to the lake. Property is extremely large on super quiet street that makes you feel as if youre in your own little world. Dog friendly and the pup loved it.
Very relaxing stay. The deck was awesome to sit on & enjoy the sounds of the lake. Kitchen is equipped with everything you would need. The host was very prompt with any & all questions we had prior to our stay. If you are looking for a nice relaxing stay, you have found it.
We absolutely enjoyed our stay! We had a relaxing and quiet break for our vacation. We loved eating on the back deck overlooking the lake and enjoying a cup of coffee every morning on the dock!
The beds were very uncomfortable. The water toys were dirty and couldnât be used. The dock area is all mud and not really good access to the water. The WiFi barely worked and went out often. The washer/dryer barely functioned. It took hours to dry a load. The house is in a nice location close to attractions. The. Heck in process was easy and smooth.
Paul and I traveled to Lake Norman for a family vacation in 2013 and have never left. We moved with our two children from New York to Mooresville NC in 2015 and have never been happier. We love spending time on the lake and traveling to Charlotte for basketball games, broadway shows, and concerts. We hope you enjoy Lake Norman as much as we do.
We purchased this cozy and quiet property to have the opportunity to enjoy Lake Norman on a regular basis. We treat it as our quaint weekend getaway. We love spending the day on the lake with our children going tubing, fishing and riding jet ski. Its close to lake front dining and only 28 minutes from Charolotte. Mooresville is close to Davidson college and shopping.
We fell in love with the quiet and peaceful wooded back yard and the views of Lake Norman. We enjoy having our morning coffee on the back deck or by the peir watching the herons and jumping fish on the lake. We are close enough via boat to lake dining restaurants. The cove is peaceful and full of fish.
