The Robert Doisneau Apartment is located on the second floor of a beautifully restored 18th century town house in the centre of old historical Carcassonne on Rue Barbes which itself leads off the famous market square in the heart of the old town. The rooms are all furnished with beautiful antiques beds and armoirs and comfortable sofas and armchairs. There are fine paintings, prints and and photos in all rooms and oriental carpets on the floors.The Apartments at 38 Rue Barbes were newly restored in 2010.

Each apartment shares a private entrance with intercom.

With high ceilings and tall windows the apartment is light and airy and the original wooden floors have the warmth and rich deep patina of a hundred years of history. The windows have original internal regency style shutters to allow guests to have the privacy and quiet enjoyment of the apartment as well as delicate curtains for cool summer evenings.

The apartment has TV, DVD, radio, and internet as well as a small library.
