Stunning harbour side Gold graded apartment for two with secure parking
Mill Wharf is located on the third floor of a historic building converted to the highest of standards from a granary. There is a lift to the door. The property has oak flooring throughout and feature arched windows and original exposed cast iron pillars. The lounge and kitchen is open plan and there is a dedicated dining area. The kitchen is fully equipped with full oven and hob, dishwasher, washer dryer, microwave and all crockery and cutlery. The lounge overlooks the harbour and small coastal ships can be seen loading and unloading. The harbour is also home to a large flock of swans and seals. Dolphins can be spotted off the coastline. There is a wall mounted tv with Freeview and a DVD player and a selection of DVDs. Maps and information about local walks and attractions are provided. The stylish dining table is set for a romantic dinner for two. Wifi is free for more local information, though there is a good tourist information centre and a new visitor centre in the town
The bedroom has a king size bed and a second wall mounted tv. All bedding and towels are provided. The shower room has a large walk in shower and a heated towel rail. There is an inset ceiling radio to enjoy a range of music. Special organic soap is made for Border Holiday Homes .
The town of Berwick-upon-Tweed has medieval walls and gates. These can be seen from the windows. The town boasts a thriving theatre and cinema, museums and art galleries and a small market twice a week. Some super restaurants and bars are within walking distance by crossing over the old bridge. Holy Island, Alnwick and Bamburgh Castles are an easy drive to the South. To the North and inland there are many stately homes and attractions like Paxton House, Manderston and Mellerstain. Visit the old smugglers house in Eyemouth or the new Jim Clark Motoring museum in Duns. It is easy to visit Scotland's capital city from Berwick Railway station as there are frequent trains to the city centre.
The apartment has a secure covered parking space accessed by electronic gates. Cycles can be stored here safely.
The apartment was on the 3rd, floor, with views over the harbour, and Berwick walls, the bed was very comfortable, and the apartment had all modern appliances,also, with very secure parking. We had a lovely stay.
We had a very comfortable stay in this apartment. It is so well equipped, with everything we could possibly need. We were a little bit daunted by the instructions for locating the keys but we found them without any problem. Loved the outlook from the living room onto the quayside and saw seals on a couple of days. The apartment is situated a short, pleasant walk across the bridge to the town.

Very well located apartment between Berwick town centre and the stunning beach of Spittal. You have a wonderful view of the harbour and harbour entrance of berwick and with a little luck you have a good insight into the wildlife there.
Nearby are also very good shopping facilities for everyday needs.
Also very central for hikes along the coast, e.g. to the Scottish border or to Holy Island Lindisfarne.
Various interesting excursion possibilities in the surrounding area.
Extremely nice and competent hosts.
All in all, an all-round successful holiday stay!

Lovely apartment with everything that is needed for our stay. A lovely location with superb coastal walks and ample facilities of a good standard in the town which is an easy walk away.
After a long tour of Ireland and Scotland, this flat was exactly what we needed. It was bright, clean, quiet, easy parking and a great location. Easy to walk to restaurants, shopping and pubs.

The apartment has everything you need and is in a great location with easy access to central Berwick and Spital Sands. There are food shops nearby plus a cafe and takeaways.
We really liked the quietness and privacy. The views across the port and river to the town itself were a constant delight.
No negative observations to report at all. We would happily return.
Quiet location just outside centre. Secure parking and when the Old Bridge re-opened gave good access to restaurants and pubs. Used the bus by ASDA to get to Train Station for Edinburgh trains. Apartment clean and good facilities. Overall excellent value.
Lovely little flat in a fantastic location. Can't fault anything about our stay. Secure parking. Lift. Flat was clean and tidy. Fantastic view across the estuary. 15 mins steady walk into town.

Mill Wharf is situated in an ideal place to use as a base to explore the local area. From the Scottish Borders to North Northumberland there are lots of lovely places to visit. When you've been out exploring and walking all day its a pleasure to return to this warm comfy apartment. There is everything you could need for a good stay. After a night in the most comfortable bed you're rested to start all over again. Would definitely stay here again.
The apartment was very well placed for us being only a short walk over the bridge to the town. Instructions to access the apartment were straightforward and comprehensive and the A to Z in the apartment had everything you needed to know. Kitchen was fully kitted out and there was plenty of room to lounge about if the weather wasnât the best. Plenty of walks around the area and enough bars and restaurants close by to keep most people happy.
Bed was comfortable, shower hot and all the apartment was scrupulously clean. Easy to find with satnav and not difficult without. Great place to stay.
This is our second stay at Mill Wharf and we were delighted to return. The apartment is warm, very clean, comfortable and equipped with everything you need. The views across the harbour are delightful and there is always something interesting to watch. We saw a variety of birds and seals during our stay.
The welcome basket is a lovely touch, filled with local produce.
Had a lovely stay we enjoyed the flat the views and the facilities. We had some problems with parking as next parking bay were unhappy with how I parked living a not on my car and then blocked me parking.
Overall had a good at the flat.
We had a very comfortable stay in this lovely apartment. The views over the working harbour were delightful - always something different to look at. The location was brilliant. We enjoyed walking to Bridge Street to enjoy the many places to eat. We walked the Berwick Walls, and other places. The supermarket was close to walk to as was Spittal (enjoyed lovely early morning runs to Spittal and back). Recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a comfortable place to stay in Berwick.
A comfortable base for exploring an interesting area
We enjoyed our stay at 8 Mill Wharf. The highlight was the view, across the river to Berwick, and out to sea, from the windows. Interesting to see movements of shipping, the tides, and swans. The flat was comfortable, and well equipped,
The location is good, with shops for essential supplies nearby, and a bigger selection within walking distance in Berwick.
We liked the secure private parking, as we could leave car, and walk into Berwick, which is interesting to explore, and it is a good walk in the other direction to Spittal Beach, and along the promenade there.
We really enjoyed our stay at Mill Wharf. Owners kindly let us leave our luggage prior to check in time and phoned us to check all was ok. Welcome basket with sweet treats and eggs was lovely. And owners also provide tea and coffee. Flat is quiet and comfortable with great views and in good place for Berwick town and Spittal. Good shower but coundn't avoid getting water all over the floor from bottom of the screen. Comfy bed. Kitchen is good, has whats needed although the dish drainer could do with replacing. ( used dishwasher ) Only problem was that we found the locks to all the doors difficult to use. Eventually unlocked after much fiddling but sometimes thought we were locked out. Hope to stay again to enjoy those views.
This was a return visit to Mill Wharf and to Berwick-upon-Tweed. The flat was again very comfortable, well kitted out and just perfect for a relaxing stay. It is easy walking distance into town - 10mins walk to Bridge Street with it's high quality (but reasonably priced) bars and restaurants. You can also wander off in the opposite direction for a walk on the beach or along the Spittal Promenade. The apartment's free and secure car parking is a welcome bonus. Shops and other facilities are all at hand. I'm sure we'll return again. Highly recommended.
We really enjoyed our 4 night break. The homemade rhubarb and ginger jam made by Christine the owner was amazing and the food hamper great. It would have been nice for a small bottle of milk to be in fridge on arrival for a cuppa, however good little grocery shop a few yards along from apartment.
We found the bed to be very comfortable.

Lovely walk over bridge to Berwick On Tweed town centre with its locally owned shops and restaurants , also a handful of well as known high street shops.
We would not hesitate to recommend this apartment, but donât get a fright like I did if the cleaners on the last day of your visit try the door vigorously and loudly more than an hour before nominated checkout time of 10.30am.
The apartment was very clean, well equipped and attractively laid out. There are great views across the harbour with lots of bird life and seals. There is a supermarket close by and itâs a ten minute walk across the bridge into Berwick. There is plenty of information in the apartment.
