Spindrift - a cottage that sleeps 6 guests in 3 bedrooms
Perched high above Praa Sands, Spindrift is a holiday home unlike any other. Shimmering white sand and a glistening expanse of sea create a mesmerising backdrop to balmy summer nights surrounded by bubbles in the inviting hot tub.
For those craving coastal life, the large decked terrace makes a serene space to take in the fresh sea air and enjoy a coffee whilst watching the early morning surfers wait patiently for their next wave. Budding cooks will love the barbecue and family meals will be elevated to sun-drenched get-togethers on the terrace.
Spindrift is made for bucket and spade days with one of Cornwallâs most picturesque stretches of sand just a short walk from your front door. Little ones can play in the shallows whilst surf lovers can spend hours in the water, or simply spend a relaxing day soaking up the sun. Praa Sands is dog friendly in the quieter months and with the South West Coast Path nearby, your four-legged friend will be treated to some of the most scenic walks in Cornwall.

Wonderful views over a beautiful bay. Had everything we needed in the house. Just the weather in December let us down. However it was a lovely rural and quiet area.
Spindrift was the third holiday we have booked with Luxury Coastal. The previous two had delivered handsomely on the luxury front, and as this trip was to celebrate a 70th birthday, we decided to push the boat out, particularly as Spindrift promised 'a holiday home unlike any other'. Well, its view over Praa Sands is absolutely marvellous. And although we had planned a busy week exploring the area and connecting with family, we could have spent every day just staring out of the windows. Unfortunately, luxurious Spindrift really is not. The photos of Spindrift have been so expertly styled that they create an image that the propery fails to live up to. As another reviewer mentioned last summer, it's all just a bit tired. There are new carpets, and the upstairs shower room has been nicely modernised, but these improvements just highlight the fact that the downstairs bathroom and the kitchen both badly need an upgrade. Ditto the hot tub. From the images, we expected we'd spend a lot of our time on the balcony and patio areas, lapping up the gorgeous views. But the local gull population put paid to that. When we arrived both areas were so well splattered we couldn'y sit anywhere. Puzzlingly, all the patio furniture cushions were also just left out, and so were equally unappealing. It pains me to write such a negative view, but while Spindrift is nice enough, and is in an undoubtedly fabulous location, it's expensive and not what I would consider luxurious.
On arrival to Spindrift there was o WOW from all the family the view is stunning the house is amazing and only a very short walk to the beach all eating places locally had amazing food the owner of the property who lives close by was extremely helpful and a very pleasant individual
The 3 bed house is cosy and has the basic essentials. Itâs a bit tired but you just cannot beat the location. A 5 minute stroll to a dog-friendly surfing beach, on the windy side, with a great bar that also sells food. Great cliff walk and within a 10 minute drive to Portleven for fantastic restaurants. The spa is an extra special treat, again itâs basic, only small jets, but to sit on the deck in the hot tub and look down on the sea is priceless. No feather pillows or duvets but mattresses not as bad as some places. No fans either
The house was disappointing for the amount of money being paid for the week. The house is very tired and I would not class it as luxury accommodation. There was only two of us with our dog and it advertises as for 6 adults which I would say would be very tight in the main room. The oven and bath need to be replaced as there is a crack in the bath and the oven takes a time to cook anything especially on the hob and it needs a thorough clean also upstairs in the main room with balcony we could not use the main room lights as the switch was very hot and flickering (we felt could of been dangerous so did not use did inform the owner of this).. On a positive note the view is quite something.
Lovely 3 bedroom cottage with all mod cons, spacious and quiet away from it all. The views of the Cornish coastline and Praa Sands beach just made it for us. We were blessed with fab weather all week. Great location for day visits to St Ives, Lands End and Mariazon for St Michael's Mount. Highly recommended for anyone that wants the perfect chillaxing week away with breathtaking views.
Beautiful location with lovely views and many local attractions and amenities.
A lovely property suitable for young families and adults alike with beautiful views and close proximity to the beach. The owner lives close by and always available to help out if required. Would thoroughly recommend.
This was an amazing property to stay in. The views from all the windows of the most stunning beach were perfect. We all loved our bedrooms and literally did not want to part with the master bedroom bed it was so comfy. Plenty of sun loungers. Relaxing hot tub. Big kitchen for us to all hang out in. Thank you Andrew for your friendly welcome and beautiful scones on arrival, we enjoyed them after a long journey. We would definitely come back to Praa Sands. We enjoyed lovely walks along the beach, shops close by. Perfect location.
