We had a short break for 2 nights over christmas day, There was a Christmas tree and lights put up for us as well as some welcome gifts left for our arrival. The lodge was spotless, well equipped and warm! There was 6 of us including my 83year old nan who has mobility issues and there was no problems at all The view was fab you could hear the church bells in the distance as well as one morning you could hear the wolves howling from the nearby zoo! We thoroughly enjoyed our stay the lodge was just perfect in every way, Thankyou so much
Really appreciated the ramped access, the lodge is at one level. Suited us well as our son has limited mobility. Co-op just down the lane was great, we went everyday. We had a lot of rain but the terrace seating must be lovely in the summer. We still appreciated the incredible views from there, we just didnât sit out. There were four of us staying and the living area was very comfortable.
loverly property good veiws,(except when misty),well it was mid October! owner very helpfull.beds very comfotable, could not fault would definatly stay again.
The location was ideal to visit the North Devon coast - which suited us as I wanted to go to Croyde Bay. The lodge was quiet with lovely views. The lodge provided everything we wanted or could have needed. We really enjoyed our stay.
We had a good break with plenty to see and do in and around Combe Martin. The lodge was clean, spacious and the beds and bedlinen were very comfortable. The nearby Co-op was a bonus. Our hosts were very responsive and helpful. The views from the sundeck were marvellous and the peace and quiet, broken only by owls hooting, was wonderful. We would come again!
We stayed for 1 week and oh I wish id booked 2 ( never wanted to leave really).
It was amazing, the property, the location, the views it had it all.
Its far from Combe Martin beach with its shops, pubs and restaurants which we did frequent numerous times.
The property has everything you need for the perfect stay, we didn't cook but everything was there, the beds where comfy, the living area was very spacious and immaculately clean throughout.
We will be back our family really enjoyed the accommodation.
Thank you Caroline for everything and the chocolates were a big hit too
We had a lovely stay in Apple Tree Lodge, its in a great location to explore North Devon, and we even ventured into Cornwall! The Lodge was very well equipped and had lots of space for our family of six. Caroline and Jon were great hosts and I would happily recommend staying here!
It was the perfect spot for us - two couples with three dogs.
Great for exploring a beautiful part of the country and although the weather wasnât the best we made the most of the stunning surroundings
The description of the property was very accurate and we were well aware the âroadâ leading up to the property was very uneven. Although when driven carefully at slow speed we had no problem.
Inside was welcoming and had everything we needed, the balcony must be lovely when the weather allows!!
Overall we had no complaints about our stay apart from the decking was very slippery leading down to the car parking.
Would recommend a stay here.
What a place to stay! Incredible views over Combe Martin and a stroll to the beach.
Accommodation was clean, warm and welcoming. Looking forward to booking again.
We had a very pleasant stay in the cottage. It was clean and comfortable and a perfect place for exploring the beautiful area. While we did not personally meet the owners, the written communication was always quick and kind and helpful. Definitely recommended.
This well presented and well equipped lodge was set in a superb location overlooking the Combe Martin valley. The property was of a good size for our family of 4 adults and 2 children, was clean and well maintained. The large deck patio was big enough for the children to play as well as a good place for the adults to relax. Our only concern was the very rough state of the top end of Comers Lane leading to the property which was described by the owners as unsuitable for low clearance vehicles, however for the first couple of days my daughters family estate car was grounding on the rocks until she found a suitable route to navigate through. My SUV was okay although the tyres took a beating.. Overall a very enjoyable holiday at this property.
The Lodge was perfect for our stay. It was clean, quiet and comfortable and extremely dog friendly which made a relaxing week a possibility. It is a great base for visiting sites like Ilfracombe, Lynton and Valley of the Rocks, whilst Combe Martin gives easy access to the coastal path. The new Co-op at the bottom of the lane is a big bonus too if you are self caterers like we were. We had a lovely week!
Had an amazing week in the very clean well equipped lodge. Owners were so helpful and always there if we needed them. The views from the terrace we unbelievable and we looked forward to coming back to relax and just watch the lovely scenery. Also in an excellent location in the middle of so many lovely places and beaches to visit. Canât wait to stay again.
Not impressed that i got charged 100 pounds extra for a stained mattress that we have no evidence that any of are party soiled it.
The beds were made on arrival and we did not think we would a have to stripe the beds to check.
the owners as con artists and you as the agent should be very carful as they will get you a bed reputation . will not be using thier property again.
The lodge was so cosy, set in a beautiful spot up in the hills looking down on Combe Martin village. Owners were really accommodating + the place was spotless. Thank you for having us!
Apple Tree Lodge is a lovely place, very quiet and peaceful, located in a beautiful location.
Highly recommended for a visit and the local area is outstanding!
