Cory, it was great having you and the family stay with us during your Costa Rican vacation. Now that you bought property near by, we'll be looking to see more of you in the future. John, in 8 years of making our home available for rental vacations this is the 1st review that did not rate us with 5 stars. It has always been our goal to advertise with integrity and over deliver against the expectations of our clients. That is why our listing provides a detailed Google earth map showing the location of our home and all relative points of interest in the area. We also provide a list of local operators that offer services such as bikes, fishing, snorkel gear, surfboards etc. in the event you are not satisfied with our selection or prices. We also apologize for the problems that you experienced with our WiFi. It was unfortunate that we could not replace the faulty SIM card during the Christmas holiday. We hope that the alternative internet locations that we provided offered some relief to the situation. We appreciate your feedback and hope that the 3 stars that you awarded us was a reflection of the beauty and functionality of the house, property and staff that serviced you during your visit.

It was a blast having you and Oscar as our guests. Our boat trip to Los Mogos for a day of snorkeling and stand up paddle boarding was epic, but the afternoon lobster snack on the disappearing island off Golfito and the return trip through the Rio Coto mangrove canal really capped the day. We know that you are already planning a return trip to experience our green season and we hope that this visit includes a kayak trip down the Rio Coto to view the countless # of birds, wild life, flora and fauna and take a hike to the beaches of Punta Banco and the Burica Peninsula to experience the multitude of waterfalls along the journey. Hi Roxanna, You and Justin were lucky to experience so much of the southern zone Pura Vida in such a short period of time. I hope your next visit extends beyond 3 days, so we can experience some of the activities in the Gulfo Dulce. Fishing, whale and dolphin watching and snorkeling the Los Mogos islands in the back of the Gulf are some of my favorite excursions. Also on your next visit, I will have to introduce you to our fresh herb garden. We have everything from basil, mint, rosemary, turmeric, ginger, fennel, parsley, dill, black pepper corns, oregano, coconut, coffee and cocoa. Everything to make your meals yummy. Thank you so much for the review and all the wonderful suggestions. We really enjoyed having you Denise and the triplets (Oh, and your three dogs!) on the property and happy that we could accommodate your last minute request for a stay here in the Southern Zone. With regard to some of your observations, one of the benefits of being the owners and living here on the property is that we can respond to any housekeeping issue, spice availability, etc. within minutes as we have before with other clients. We do review the house on a regular basis to take care of burned out lights, fixtures, etc. but as with any household, there are items that can be in perfect working order one minute and before you know it, repairs and/or replacements are needed. We are aware of this and are prepared to make any repairs needed at a moment’s notice. We do try to explain to potential clients that we live here on the property, and the reviews mention this as a plus for most clients. Many people are unfamiliar with the culture, language, and the beautiful remote environment of the Southern Zone, and this unfamiliarity can be overwhelming at times, especially when on vacation. We, as nine year veterans in the area, try to gauge the needs of our guests and provide the privacy and/or guidance that our clients request, acting as an ambassador within the community when needed. With regard to the distance to the well-known break that many associate with Pavones, we do provide a google map on our VRBO site which illustrates the location of the house as well as many points of interest, including other less crowded world class surf breaks between our house, Pavones, and points beyond. As you pointed out, our location has been lauded for the incredible views, the cool ocean breezes and a chance to be slightly distanced from the crowds that can be associated with the downtown area of Pavones, especially during a well-advertised swell. If the cool breezes are insufficient for our guests, the home is equipped with air conditioning that effectively cools the home and the doors can remain closed to any of the jungle critters that may make some nervous, especially at night. Our home is indeed a Duplex, an exact mirror image of one another with the same square footage. The two homes are completely private with their own separate entrances and amenities. The parking area is currently shared and is presently being improved upon in order to accommodate space for more separated parking. We are constant
