(Review by my son). Host was great; he brought us a fan because we needed it. House is good. Quiet, but close to town. View of the lake was nice. I would certainly stay there again.
Property was great. Large and quite comfortable. Much better than any hotel I've stayed at in the area. The host was very easy to communicate with and helpful, but not overbearing. Location was excellent. I would stay here again.
Accommodations were comfortable and right for what we needed. We just needed a place to regroup after spending the day in the BWCA, so this was just right. Check-in was pretty seamless, though I needed to contact the owner to know which unit we were staying in. All in all, a good place for a home base when staying in Grand Marais and exploring the surrounding area.
This is a simple no frills rental with the essentials for a pleasant stay. The location was great; a short block from downtown and a couple from Lake Superior and Artist Point. Would stay again when we come back to Grand Marais.
We were very satisfied with our accommodations. Spacious rooms. Plenty of room in kitchen to cook our meals. The only thing I would suggest is that they put at least one end table or coffee table by the couch.
The beds are especially comfortable, I was attending the folk school and needed some supplies that would not have been allowed through TSA and the owner was very cooperative and supplied them for me. Everything was described. It is a bit âbare bonesâ, but serviceable.
This is a cozy 2 bedroom. Perfect for a walk down by the water in Grand Marais! Quiet and very clean. Communication was great too!
Thanks again! The Greenâs
Very nice, newly renovated apartment just a few blocks from the harbor.
Very clean. New Paint. Neat, unusual rough sawn log wall in Dining room.
Only issues were:
No BUILDING # 20 outside that we could see and no exterior photo of building front so hard to make sure we were at the right place and no #2 Unit # on the door as stated.
No ice, no ice cube trays to make any either.
Very limited supplies. Only 1 roll of toilet paper and no spare paper towels which we ran out of. Host quickly supplied TP, thank you for the service.
You can hear the people in the upstairs unit running around.
The ottoman is pretty filthy. Very few picures or things on the walls, so lacks a little "homey" feel, but overall, very good. We'd stay there again.
Overall nice comfortable stay! Beds were very comfortable with plenty of table space(for puzzles, etc)!
If I had to improve anything, a light over the kitchen sink would help and cover any worn or stained furniture. Need to update amenity list( no Kerig coffee maker)âŠ..The view is blocked mostly by trees but u can see the water in areas! Once again- very nice overall!
Cute clean updated apartment. One negative, could use new ottoman and chair, both were stained badly. Good location, could walk to restaurants and bars.
We had a great stay at this place. It was spacious and located a few blocks from downtown. We loved being able to walk to everything in town. The bedrooms are spacious and beds comfortable. Lots of living space and even has a small deck looking out towards the lake. It did not have any air conditioning which we thought wasn't a big deal since we were staying in October, but it ended up being a warm week. We were lucky enough to leave the windows open to keep the place cool.
Neat and tidy unit and nicely appointed rooms. We thought the beds were quite comfortable. Ben was always available, pleasant and helpful. Would stay here again.
My wife (Jennifer) and I have have been in the property management business for many years. She was born here in Grand Marais, and I met her and have been a resident of the area for 15 years. We love everything about the area, and are active, outdoorsy people. We would love to help you plan your stay as well as provided you this beautiful apartment to enjoy.
We were drawn to this property, primarily because of the views and the size of the lot. This building sits on a hill overlooking the village and Lake Superior. Nearly every room has a unique perspective of both the lake as well as the downtown area. Everything is close.
One of the most unique benefits to this property is that everything is within walking distance. It is close enough to all the action to participate without parking, but far enough away for it to be a quiet space when needed.
