Property was perfectly situated for easy access to the center of town and exactly as described/pictured. There were 3 of us and had plenty of space. Communication with rental team was easy and loved how they offered and prearranged parking for us.
The unit itself was great. Quiet with the windows closed. With the windows open there is a bit of noise, mostly from the shockingly large number of birds in Galway. The process for using the parking pass the was offered with the unit was unfortunate. We were provided no information prior to check in about how to use the pass we paid 8 for. In fact, the check in instructions we got said no parking pass came with our reservation. Even if the parking information was correct at check in, the way the pass works is that you have to return a QR code on a lanyard to the unit after you have moved your car OUT of the parking garage. Very inconvenient. So much so that, since we were traveling with children, we elected to pay the garage 30 directly to avoid having to try to find street parking to return the QR code lanyard. So between paying the garage and paying through VRBO we paid approximately 38 for one night of parking.
Location was amazing but the apartment left more to be desired. The only way to get air in the place was to open the windows but since youâre on a top floor, if it rains you have to close the windows or the apartment will get puddles of water in it. Washer/dryer combo was inefficient and dyed a lot of our clothes. We had to have the dryer cycle on all day which heated up the kitchen and since it was raining (as it does often in Ireland) the room was hard to enjoy and stay in. The building itself has its own issues. If you want a super convenient location, this place would work, but I recommend staying somewhere else.
The apartment is nice and matched the descriptions. The location was amazing, a two minute walk to all the shops and restaurants. Our only complaint is that its an attic apartment with windows that dont open. There are no fans so the air gets hot and there is non way ton cool off. The host was unable/unwilling to provide fans after we struggled to sleep through the first night.
Property was clean, well-lit (GORGEOUS views through the skylight windows), and we were able to get a nice cross-breeze with these fun skylight windows that tilted open with ease. Location of this property is also incredible. Would recommend checking out live music at The Kingâs Head just down the block and Jungle Cafe a short walk away.
This is a great apartment and great location. 50 steps to the apartment so make sure youâre in shape and donât have too much luggage. The hot shower was easy to operate kitchen is well stocked and good beds. Only complaint is washer dryer combo is hard to figure out but host has documentation on how to operate. Highly recommend this apartment.

Perfect location for exploring Galway City. Despite being nearly in the thick of things, it's along a quieter street so not too loud at night. Parking in the area is difficult, so I suggest looking at parking garages and lots if you have a car. We ended up parking in the Cathedral parking lot, which is a bit of a hike but not too bad.
We had a great time in Galway. The apartment is in a perfect location. The bedrooms and bathroom were very good, and the living room with the breakfast bar was perfect for cheese etc at the end of the night.
When visiting Galway again I would definitely check if this apartment was available first before looking anywhere else.
Thanks Sinead.
The directions to get to 1 Buttermilk were cryptic.
The trash take out was confusing.
Outside code had to be given to us by post man.
It was in a terrific location and we were very comfortable.
couldnât have had a better time if we tried. the water took forever to heat up and the stairs were tedious but other than that, the apartment was perfect. the location really canât be beat.
This loft apartment was a short walk away from many stores and restaurants. Very clean and decorated with touches of rose gold. Pretty quiet for how close it was to lots of activity. The owner was excellent as far as communications.
If you are looking for a place to stay in Galway, this one is so perfect! We were able to get all over the city with ease & it was right in the middle of everything! Beware, you do climb a lot of stairs, but it was bad at all! It was a great stay!
