3 salles de bain au total, dont 2 douches électriques, plus une baignoire. 2 salles de bain en bas et 1 à l'étage.
Grand salon avec baie vitrée sur la mer, avec table / chaises;

Menant à la grande terrasse avec table, chaises et parasol pour les repas en plein air.
Cuisine séparée entièrement équipée, comptoir en granit et table et chaises pour 10 personnes maximum.

Les sites historiques proches à portée de main incluent Wicklow Gaol (Jail) qui propose une bonne visite et une bonne histoire de la région depuis le XVIIIe siècle.

Avondale House est la demeure ancestrale de Charles Stuart Parnell, le «roi sans couronne de l’Irlande». En plus d'offrir une fenêtre historique sur!Histoire irlandaise du IXe siècle, Avondale est un lieu de prédilection pour les promenades dans la nature et en forêt, les pique-niques et les terrains de jeux.

Great property

We spent two weeks at Oban. Everything about this property was great. Joe, was helpful and very easy to communicate with concerning our trip. We had the beach to ourselves. Lastly, the sunrise over the sea is spectacular.

Gorgeous

A breathtaking location in a quiet neighborhood overlooking the sea. The steps down to the private cove wander through wild garlic. The house is charming and well loved and long lived. The kitchen has everything you might need and the mismatched plates and cutlery add to the relaxed atmosphere. (I suggest you bring your own pillow as those need some updating.)Highly recommend staying there and would love to again!

Beautiful

Simply a stunning location. Couldn’t be more perfect. The walk down the steps to the beach – the wonderful shell covered beach – the huge lawn – the spacious home - The wonderful outdoor picnic area – the quiet neighborhood – we just loved it!

Stay at Brittas

The property was perfect for our group, completely furnished and fully equipped with everything we needed. The host was very helpful and checking in and out was easy. The position was spectacular, and the weather was sunny enough to use the garden furniture and go down to the beach directly from the garden. We were lucky to see a grey seal pup and mother on the beach - magical. Would definitely recommend.

Family visit

Blown away by the setting when we walked around the house on arrival. Great safe space for kids and lovely beach. House ideal for large mixed age family group - never felt crowded. It is an older house, but everything we needed was there, and we had a great holiday. Joe was readily contactable if needed and very helpful.

Overall very good. House was very clean and spacious. Parking available for at least 3 cars .having our own private beach was awesome and the view out to the see was therapeutic. Lovely surrounding countryside not far from the town of Arklow .

We loved having private quiet yard with beach and ocean views. You can hear the ocean when you sleep. Owner was available quickly to answer questions about directions and other things. Nice big house. Has everything we needed. Thanks Joe!

We didn’t want to leave this little, seaside haven after a lovely 10 day stay. Fantastic hosts, convenient location for exploring County Wicklow and a cozy home that makes even the rainiest days a holiday. We can’t wait to return some day!

Wonderful house at the beach

We had a great holiday. The house is as beautiful as you can see on the photos. The view is fantastic and when you wake up in the morning you can hear the sound of the sea. My favorite impressions!

Oban Arklow

It would be difficult to improve on either this location or the home nestled within it. The grounds are spacious and well maintained and the facilities are more than adequate. How many places in the World have a private access to a beach?? Additionally, there are many interesting places to visit on the doorstep of this house/home, and the countryside wherever you travel is breathtaking. Generally Oban has everything anybody would wish to have a for a family break/holiday. It certainly comes highly recommended from all of us who stayed in this little treasure.

Stunning

This cozy and spacious home could not be in a more lovely location. It is equipped with everything we needed and the view is gorgeous. The steps down to the private beach were thick with wildflowers. The ocean - glorious. The views from inside the home are just stunning. We hated to leave and we hope to return!

Beachside Beauty

A simply heavenly stay in a little slice of beachy beauty. Lovely rolling garden well maintained with picturesque pathway to your own private beach shared with one other house. Oban is an idyllic retreat with the sound of rolling waves & birdsong all round. The bonus is that there are so many attractions nearby. Will certainly be back. Michael & Crew

Can’t wait to come back!

If I could afford to move to Ireland and buy this house, I wouldn’t change a single thing about it! Oban feels like home as soon as you walk in. The views are completely breathtaking and the amenities are amazing. We walked the beach and collected beautiful stones for hours, enjoyed the wonderful town of Arklow, and took some easy day trips out (but were always so glad to come back home to Oban). We can’t wait to come back next year!

Wonderful location & views!

Oban is ideally located to explore the east coast of Ireland. The setting, sea views and beach were picturesque. Joe and Liam were welcoming and very responsive when we reached out with questions over our 2 week stay. While the beach is accessible by private path, having beach chairs provided would have been helpful. The floor plan was perfect for our family and the baths nicely updated. Some of the main furnishings were a bit dated and untidy. The kitchen was a nice layout and size with everything we needed, however, the cabinets were overflowing with “stuff”. Could use a little care and decluttering. All in all, we had a wonderful vacation and could recommend this charming home rental.

Charming beach-side cottage with lovely views!

My husband and I, along with our two fiends, enjoyed a week-long stay in this charming cottage near Arklow. The view of the water in the morning and the sound of the waves at night made this a perfect retreat from stress and strain. The sun room was perfect for sipping our morning tea and we enjoyed a roaring fire in the cute fireplace during the evenings. The location was ideal for day tripping to Dublin (we visited Malahide Castle and Gardens. the Teeling Distillery, and the Dublin Zoo), We also checked out Wexlow and Wicklow. The cottage was very comfortable and we took advantage of a warm day in September to swim in the bay and comb the beach for unique shells and stones. The great back yard and closeness to the beach makes this cottage ideal for families or just young-at-heart adults looking for a quiet place to relax. Joe, the owner, was very responsive and helpful. We also found the locals in the Arklow shops and restaurants very friendly. The Asian Take-away from Taurus was the best we have had anywhere and the prawn chips are addictive! I really enjoyed the ribs at The Old House and my husband was pleased with the free sandwiches at Christy's Pub that really hit the spot after a couple of pints.

A perfect get-away for us

This was a perfect place for our family gathering. The accommodations were comfortable and allowed us ample space and support to play, eat, explore, lounge... We had eight adults and three children under three. There were plenty of beds and baths and toys for all of ours to play and nap and eat. we typically ate meals at home, and set off to explore the area in the morning and evening, pit-stopping at the house around noon for lunch and naps. The owners provided plenty of instruction and suggestions for us to figure out how to function in the house (think washer/dryer, heater...) and of places to try sightseeing. Their explanations of the area gave us enough information to know what would be good activities for the different ages in our group. The back yard was wonderful and we all were able to play in it-- even in the rain. The access to the beach was magical and we all made our way down to watch the sea and play on the beach, each day. It was great to have it easily accessible to visit and it was wonderful to get to enjoy the views even from the house. Overall, everything about our vacation was pleasant. We would love a do-over someday, or at least hope for equivalent accommodations elsewhere. This location and these owners set the bar high for us. We give high recommendations for anyone interested.

We are a family of 5 living in the centre of Dublin & we love our weekends in 'Oban sur la mer', our haven of tranquility which we share with you. Our kids love the beach & having the Bridgewater Shopping Centre so close by, means that we are never short of things to do. A great hangout for the larger family gatherings - just 50 mins from Dublin but it seems like it's another world.
