This small house was a joy to visit. It is clean and well appointed for the traveler. Great location near the Beach bar and the Aughris Coastal walk- don't miss it. This part of Ireland is especially beautiful and the peopler friendly- not many foreign tourists- seems to be popular with Irish on holiday. For US visitors-we wd like an ice cube tray and a smart TV.
The Landmark is a lovely house, with all the amenities required to make our stay comfortable and convenient. Sheila was a perfect host, with timely communication and great instructions. Will definitely recommend her places to my friends!
We were a group of 5 adults . Location great. House plenty big for us especially the bedrooms. Modern kitchen was well equipped. Would definitely recommend to others and stay again myself.
We totally enjoyed our stay at the Landmark. A really great VRBO, spacious and well equipped. Sheila is a marvelous womanâwe appreciated her care and concern for us. Cheers Michael and Kelli
We loved the location of the house, easy to drive to plenty of beaches and forest walks. The house was homely and relaxed, great for the dog. We liked that we could park easily and had the run of the garden. The kitchen is well stocked and the beds were comfortable.
Cosy cottage in a quiet area, close to the beautiful ocean, beaches and the Aughris Landmark. Complete house, even including dishwasher and washing machine, clean and with large bedrooms.
The house was a good base for outings to Sligo and surroundings, drive part of the Wild Atlantic Way, and for visiting a wedding of friends in the beautiful Markree Castle in Collooney.
Very friendly owner who provided all the information and even offered to bring us to the wedding.
Thanks Sheila.

We had a great stay here, the place was recently renovated and they did a lovely job. Very clean , big comfortable bed, great open kitchen, relaxing shower, laundry machine wasn't the best but works, and the gas fireplace was a romantic touch to the living room. Overall a great place
Just a wonderful, clean, quiet location. Close to tons of natural beauty.
I hated to leave. This property was just perfect for exploring The Wild Atlantic Way. The home was so clean, and well equipped, it was a pleasure to come home to it each evening. I particularly enjoyed watching the cows across the way lined up to come into the pasture each morning and then lined up to go back to the barn each evening. Don't see much of that in Dublin! There are pastures of sheep everywhere, and exploring the narrow roads was one of the things I liked most. As Sheila tells you, when sitting on the sofa in the upstairs living room, you have a view across to the Atlantic and beyond. It's very peaceful! If you are looking for a self-catering location to use as a base - you won't go wrong with this selection!
The house is clean and comfortable, we especially liked the spacious bedroom. The nearby beach is great for a run or for just relaxing and taking in the views. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here and would definitely recommend staying at the Landmark.
We enjoyed our stay at the Landmark. Lovely beach at the end of the road. The beach house Bar and Restaurant meant you had some where near by to go for a bite to eat and a drink if you didnt want to travel the 20mile to Sligo town. The Landmark is right in the country with fields of cows all around and you could see the sea from the sitting room window. We would recommend this place if you wish to get away from it all.
A nice and wonderful house with enough room to move around, close (2 km) to the Atlantic. The house was cozy, tidy and had everything required for a comfortable stay.
Sheila was a kind and gracious host, who worked hard to make sure our stay was perfect.
We hope to return soon with our whole family!
We are a busy farming family happily involved in the Holiday Lets Business since 2006. We have properties in Aughris Sligo, Easkey (also Sligo) and Dunkineely South Donegal. Apart from the Beach House which was purpose built, our other Holiday lets ( including this one) were renovations where most of the work was done by ourselves.
We know from experience that the Self Catering business is really all about Location and are fortunate to live near and have our holiday homes located DIRECTLY on the Wild Atlantic Way.
The Landmark was formerly a shop (Battles) and just oozes character. It had reached a very derelict state before we purchased it in 2016 but we knew it had great potential and was in an unbeatable location. Plus we seem to have a knack for taking on projects that require a huge amount of work!
We live 5kms away, so near enough if you need us, but not looking over your shoulder.
The house has an old style charm, just wait until you see those upstairs bedrooms with their high ceilings and wonderful views. Not to mention that lovely 4Poster Bed.
The back garden is huge and an ideal spot to unwind after a day touring around the great selection of beauty spots within an hours drive from the house.
