It is unfortunate that you say you experienced less than your expectations at CH but I feel like everything you say made your stay unenjoyable could have been avoided if you had communicated with me and read the details on my site prior to booking. 1-You did not tell me that there was a problem with the water until you were leaving. We immediately discovered that something had been put down the drain and it was completely blocked. You say that there was a sewer smell but I could not detect any such smell inside or outside-shower and sinks go to gray water and that was where the blocked drain was-no septic issue. Yes-the ground was wet near the wood pile but that is due to the heavy rain we had during your stay. As indicated on our site-the well water has a high iron content. We have a water filter system and softener which does a great job at iron removal. 2-the balusters are 6" not 8" as indicate - the code changed (to 4") after CH was built. That being said-the deck is not intended to be a place where you leave young children unattended. 3-we were very patient with the excessive amounts of people (15-20 adults plus many kids) and cars (5-7) you had on property during your stay and only asked you to move vehicles when they were parked on our neighbors lawn/driveway/blocking the road. Our site is clear about this policy out of respect to our neighbors. This is not a party camp and I am clear about that on my site where I also state that we are next door. Shame on you.
