It was an amazing stay and perfect for what we needed! Only thing is we couldnât find a can opener for the kitchen but that didnât phase us. Overall, amazing location and cabin.
We packed almost as much kitchen stuff as fishing items, after contacting Cabins in Broken Bow re: kitchen supplies/utensils. We found a very well put together kitchen, so I am unsure the contact knew much about the cabin. Also, the larger beds were at best crappy economy queens or just full sizes, so we were very glad that only six adults came.
Location was great..quiet and secluded. We had 10 people for the weekend. I was disappointed when we arrived as the main listing stated 5 bedrooms however after arriving found it was 4 bedroom with a sleeper sofa. We made do as we had 5 couples with us. Kitchen was stocked with everything we needed for the weekend. Clean space as well. Downstairs was cold at night but did not know it was because the flute was open in the fireplace until the day we left and didnât know how to close it (old style flute?) We had a leak in the upstairs bathroom but they responded quickly to come check it out. Answered all my questions with a quick response. I would stay again despite the little hiccups. Thanks for a great weekend.
We had a wonderful experience at Shady Nook. The cabin is warm, cozy and met the needs of my family.
Shady Nook is a nice cabin, which offered us the essentials that we needed. The cabin was clean, well stocked with dish ware, glasses, etc. The beds were comfortable. We were disappointed that the up stairs bedrooms did not have cable; someone was sent out to check on this for us, but never returned after stating he would. The hot tub was nice and the grounds were kept up nice. The cabin is a short distance away from Broken Bow Lake and Beaver State Park; of which both are incredibly beautiful. Also, the cabin is close to various restaurants and places to shop for suvineers.
