A lovely property in a prime location in the centre of broadstairs, one of the best holidays i have been on. The price of this property is very good for its amazing location.
Gorgeous flat convenient to everything you would want, 2 minutes from the seafront, Morellis icecream parlour, grocery stores, pubs, restaurants, children's funfair and much more. The apartment is very pretty, very comfortable for larger groups if necessary, very clean, comfortable, quirky. Tip top.
This property is in a very good central location, nearby shops, restaurants and the beach. Sadly the property is in need of a lot of attention. Water leaks, general cleanliness and sadly fittings that can only be described as a disaster. Examples such as door handles that are so badly fitted that you can hardly open or close them as the handles are so close to the door frames. Windows fitted with very thin glass making them quite dangerous if you could open them. The owners are attending to these matters therefore hopefully making it better for other guests in the future. Over priced!
We have been in the hospitality industry for over 20 years. We sold our Hotel and restaurant back in April 2017 and decided to renovate this property which was previously let to long term tenants and turn it into luxury self-catering apartments. As the property is located in the center of Broadstairs and in a conservation area we had to work closely with the local authority who advised us what works were allowed to be carried out as the property is Georgian. The renovation began in Aug 2017. We opened the Penthouse Apartment in July 2018 and the Duplex Apartment in Sept 2018.
We choose to renovate this property because it has been in our family for generations and we acquired it in 2008 from Simons late farther. Due to the location of the property, it was the perfect choice for our next project of self-catering apartments a stone's throw from Viking Bay and all the shops, bars, restaurants and attractions in Broadstairs.
Driftwood Apartments location is a key selling point being right in the heart of Broadstairs amongst all the Shops, Bars, Restaurants and local attractions and just a few steps away from Viking Bay Beach. It is easily accessible by Car or Train and there is public car parking very close by.
