We had such a wonderful time in Kate's cottage! We loved the rural location with beautiful sunsets in the evening. The cottage is nicely decorated and it immediately felt like home when we arrived. It has everything you need for a nice stay. The kids loved the Lego and the train, they played with it every day. My husband played several times the piano, he loves doing that. We also loved looking around in the gardens and pick fruit. We did one of the walkings we found in the map. It was very hot during our stay, so it was nice to take a swim nearby. We would never find this place without the map. During our stay I had some questions for Kate and her response time was so quick. That was very nice!Thank you, Kate, for everything!
Gerne wieder
We spent one week with our three children in the cottage. It fulfilled completely our expectations and we had all we needed. The cottage is placed perfectly for trips to Oxford, the Cotswolds and even a day trip to London from Didcot station) or the costal area around Portsmouth. Kate is a very good host and helps you as soon as there is any need. I guess we will be back to this place soon.
We liked the cottage very much, especially the piano and the fireplace. The kitchen is well equipped. From the windows you can enjoy beautiful sunsets. The bed is very comfortable. Goosey is a very quiet, rural place.
We were exploring the area for one week. Goosey has lots of interesting places within a range of 1 - 1.5 hours' driving time (Bath, Gloucester, Oxford, Stonehenge, Henley-on-Thames, all the pretty Cotswold villages like Bibury, Burford, Broadway...). The next large supermarkets are in Faringdon, about 10 min by car.
We spent 3 nights in Goosey and were very happy with our choice of accommodation and location. By that stage of our holiday we wanted somewhere quiet and peaceful and we certainly found it. However, it was certainly close enough to various towns, villages for us to continue our sightseeing. We visited Avebury, Uffington and various Cotswolds villages whilst staying in Goosey and spent the day in Oxford and Bath (on our way to and from Goosey). There was also the opportunity for some lovely walks.
The accommodation itself was great, we had space, comfortable beds and more than enough crockery and utensils etc. There were enough beams etc, views and the farm itself for us to feel we were visiting England.
Kate was great with communication and we found her directions very easy to follow and check in was seemless.
We would stay again. Thank you Kate.
Comfortable and characterful cottage in pretty rural village. Car a must for getting around. Had the best time. Super comfortable and host was very helpful through out stay. Wonderful wood burner would love to have stayed longer.
We loved it. Such a beautiful location. Kate was so easy to communicate with. If you want to be able to walk to a pub or facilities then it is not for you, but for an escape in the English countryside, it was perfect.
We so enjoyed our stay in this out of the way and yet easily accessed cottage. Very clean, charming decor, comfortable home away from home. Everything we hoped for. Kate is a fine host, available but unobtrusive. Highly recommended.
The cottage between meadows is a wonderful place to be. Everything is neat and clean. You can see rabbits, squirrels and sheep on a walk in the morning and while eating at the table a horse may pass by. It's allowed to use the garden and Kate herself is a nice and helpful person. We really enjoyed our stay and had a wonderful place for the nighttime.
Lovely cottage. Surrounded by a beautiful landscape (e.g. the Cotswolds). House furnished with passion for detail. Very clean. Kitchen well-equipped. Landlady very kind and accommodative.
We found a charming little house with a very nice landlady, and really enjoyed our stay.
There's everything you need, surrounded by beautiful British countryside. The little house is comfortable, well-kept and clean.
Highly recommended! Thanks a lot, Kate!
I could never have imagined a more wonderful pomace to stay. I felt like I was stepping into a book! This home is more than comfortable with stunning views. We were all sad to leave!
Nicely kept bolthole in the middle of rural Oxfordshire
Nice Cottage with access to lovely wild garden. We only stayed for three nights, on our way to the West Country. Lots to do nearby! Lovely sleepy village.
My husband and I live at Abbey Farm with my family who are now all grown up and living away from home . The farm is no longer a working farm though there are sheep in the fields. We have a dog, Basil.
Abbey Cottage is part of Abbey Farm which is a 17th Century farm set on a historic village green. Although Oxford/Bicester/Bath and historic towns of Wantage and Faringdon are all close by the village of Goosey has a rural atmosphere. We have 35 acres of farm land and woodland walks that you can walk over. There is a narea of the main garden that you can use and also a tennis court. There is also a ping png table which can be used outside when the weather is good.
