Quite a few areas of cleaning could do with attention to detail - floorboards very chipped, dusty between them, bottom removable seal on shower door thick with green mouldy slime (I removed it to clean myself).
I think 6 people would have been very hard to squeeze in - limited hanging space for clothes, small towel rail in bathroom etc.
Living area very full with the 3 sofas and table.
We had a great time but we were disappointed with the cleaning there was a dirty bath towel hanging on the door of the front bedroom door. There was a glass full of water left on the shelf in the back bedroom neither of the bedroom bins had been emptied there was no mattress proctor on the front bedroom bed.I know this is not your fault but what really upset us when we came out of the back door there was left 2 bags of dog poo.Like I said I know thatâs itâs not your fault but maybe people should be told to clear up after there dogs.
We had an enjoyable stay in Suffolk although the cottage is very small. There are 3 huge sofas in the lounge/diner as well as a coffee table and dining table to seat 6. For us, this just meant space was lacking and actually felt quite claustrophobic at times and we are a family of 4.
We arrived late on the Friday but nothing was left for us which was surprising. We have stayed in many houses and it is usual to at least be left milk. Also only 1 bin bag for the weekâŠagain fairly surprising.
Location good, short walk to Aldeburgh and easy access to other areas of Suffolk.
Number 22 is a great cottage. Cleanliness is excellent. The owners have been very thoughtful in equipping the cottage with all necessary items.
This all led to a very relaxed stay.
This was our second visit to No 22. The comfy sofas and fabulous log burner were a much needed treat. after long walks in the chilly weather. The beds & linen wonderful and the towels are so soft & fluffy everything is hotel standard. The cottage is tastefully furnished and the kitchen is brilliantly equipped.
There is a sparkling clean bathroom with lashings of hot water and good pressure from the shower
The property is very close to shops & the old railway line starts just round the corner, for a great walk to Thorpness.
There is a pretty back garden with lovely seating and a sun trap bistro set outside the back door
The owners have thought of everything to make your stay perfect, and it was! We have already booked again for October
Well equipped house, everything worked and we settled in quickly. The house was very clean and fresh. The beds are comfortable and the shower was great (care as bath can get slippery). For dog owners there are walks around the very close park. There are two supermarkets 2 minutes walk away, The walk into Aldeburgh takes about 10-15 minutes but if you go via the park is a lovely walk. We were able to park outside the house on the street but if it was busy you can park at the community centre next to the park.Really enjoyed our stay and would definitely come back. Fine, if cosy for two couples but six staying would find it perhaps too small and the access to one bedroom through another might be an issue for some.
