This property was amazing. Rooms were very clean great amenities and all. And the ocean view was breathtaking. Waking up and opening the sliding glass window and hearing the sound of the ocean is just so relaxing. I would definitely give this stay 5 stars

We have stayed at Emerald Beach many times and can’t say enough great things! Southern Vacation Rentals was very responsive to our minor housekeeping question and were quick to assist when needed. We would recommend Emerald Beach to anyone!

Nice place to stay

We were overall very pleased with Unit 1028 and plan to revisit in the future! Everything was perfect other than the sofa which was very uncomfortable.

It was a great location and beautiful view of the ocean. My family had a wonderful time and hated to leave. No problem with outside noise or neighbors. Only a couple issues. The dryer didn't work and the hideaway bed mattress cover needed to be changed in our condo. Other than that I was pleased with my stay.

Great Condo!

Condo was perfect and right on the beach. We were located on the 9th floor, so not too far up. There was 25 floors, the only thing was waiting for an elevator since only 2 were working.

The location was the most positive thing about the property. Beautiful view and ocean front benefits were appreciated. The most negative elements of Emerald Beach was the condition of the unit. You would think that being charged a cleaning fee of one day’s rental would guarantee a clean unit
 you would be wrong. The dishes were dirty and had to be washed prior to use; the countertops were gritty; rusted plumbing fixtures; filthy furniture which required covering with extra bedding just to sit on. On our last full day, the kitchen sink backed up and even though a plumber came promptly, he couldn’t resolve it because the blockage was in the wall. Nice plumber but not a good situation for renters needing to prepare dinner and breakfast the next morning before checking out. We stayed here many years ago and really enjoyed it but will choose a different property next time.

The property we stayed in was completely empty. The pics we received weren’t like what we walked into. Scratches everywhere. Refrigerator never kept anything cold (called multiple times) finally brought us an igloo cooler and 2 bags of ice said they’d reimburse for our groceries but never saw a dime. Decor was minimal to say the least. Just overall not a place to stay again.

Worst Stay. Do not recommend.

Pictures attached as to why I do not recommend. Air conditioner issues. We arrived at 10:30 AM and they claimed someone was cleaning the unit. We went to the unit and no one was there. We checked every 45 minutes because they kept claiming someone was cleaning it. We never saw anyone and the manager said no one had stayed there in a week. Finally at 3:00 PM they let us in. It was 80 degrees and the air conditioner was not working. The walls were leaking water into the floor and it was so humid in the room that the mirrors and our phones were fogging up. We had two children with us a 9 month old and a 5 year old autistic non verbal child. The floors were very slippery and a hazard for the children. The disabled one doesn’t understand “wet floor, be careful”. There was no compensation or anything from the owners.

We arrived for a 4 pm chekcin at 4;30 and found our condo open with doors removed and the washer and dryer in the living room, drop cloths and tools scattered about. The plumbers apologized and explained they were doing maintenence on the washer drain and would be an additional 45 min. We waited as we had a whole dumbwaiter of clothes and supplies that we did not want to unload. At 5:30 they finally left. In the mornign when we tried to use the washer and dryerdid not work. it was reported and assured that someone would be there today to fix it. we had several communications over the stay and each time was asssured someone was going to repair. The washer and dryer were never repaired during the four day stay!!! We were given a late checkout (for not being able to et in until 5:30) which was useles as we planed on leaving early anyway. Also a $60 credit for not having the washer and dryer, but it does not make up for our inconvenience. There are several other comparible vacationpropertiesin this area , so we will not be using Southern vacation Rentals again.

This condo is a nice condo. I have been in better and I have been in worse. I will give the condo itself a 10. The management company I will give a zero. I booked this condo on 5/3/24. On 5/4/24 when I read the confirmation I realized I put the wrong dates in. I contacted Expedia. They advised the management company would have to make the change. They reached out to Southern Vacations. Southern Vacations said no they would not change it. I asked Expedia why. They did not know and said I could call them and gave me their direct number. I called and explained what happened. I said I only want to change by 1 day. She said we can’t do that. I asked if someone was coming in after us and she said no. I asked why wouldn’t they be able to change it. She said because if we do that for you then everyone will want to do that. I went back and forth between Expedia and Southern Vacations. Finally I knew I had to rearrange things to accommodate Southern Vacations. So I did. My husband and I had a nice vacation until the day before we were supposed to leave the condo. I received an email stating our check out time was 9 am. I have never stayed anywhere that had a check out time of 9 am. 11 is the normal but I have had requirements of 10 am. They also stated our departure instructions were: Take out the trash and to load and start the dishwasher. So now not only do I not have time to shower I am working for them. I wanted to ask them if there was anything else I could do for them.
