My great Puerto princesa experience.

The staff was great. Very friendly. There wasn't a lot of food to choose from in the restaurant. But everything else was great. I booked just for two nights and end up staying for four.

Lorenzo is very accommodating and helpful, although the place is far from the city proper we found our stay okay.

very accommodating staff. Restaurant however closes quite early hence I had to travel to town for midnight snack or late dinner. Future guests should bring food and drinks with them for a night cap

Puerto princesa get away

Stayed 3 days and didn't realize that it's far from the city center. Although the staff were great the food is very limited and they don't take card only cash and there's no wi fi in t h e room

location! location! location! 20-25 minutes by car to the centre of Puerto Princesa. Really the place was in the middle of nowhere. Staff very friendly, but they had some troubble with keeping up to an agreed schedule.

A secluded hotel-a quiet to place to rest

The hotel's location is a bit far from the city. It feels like a new place. But the great thing to this hotel is that if you really want to rest, this place is very good. The way to the hotel is a rough road so you need to be prepared. We did not experience room cleaning while we were out. They also have a safety deposit box in the reception area. The food is good and we enjoyed it as a couple since they have servings for couples. Limited choices of menu. They lack in information regarding the tours (requirements and other conditions). We were not informed that we will get wet on the island hopping and underground river tour. They also lack in power outlet, there were only two. When we need to charge our cellphone, we need to remove either the TV or refrigerator. Overall, they are still good for a 2-star hotel.

Over all,the Hillside Hotel is a neat,relaxing,friendly,affordable and comfortable place to stay although it's kind of far(about 20-25 minutes ) from the town proper, but you can take a tricycle or hire the shuttle van to go to townYES- I will recommend the hotel to my families and friends!Thank you!

not worth it

the place is far from the city center, so its not convenient...the kitchen had almost none of the food items featured on the menu, and even the prices were different from the menu, and the food that was available was substandard...there was late night singing going on every night we were there, hard to sleep...there are plenty of better and cheaper options in puerto princessa...

hotel amenities not as advertised ,aircons not cold,hot water takes 20 minutes to heat up & last 5 minutes.only a 12 inch tv with 2 channels.only good thing was the bed & the front desk.

Hell Side Resort

The location is Good it's quite near the airport and to the main city but the road is not it's very bumpy. The Room lacks maintenance, the Comfort room smell's eeewwww .... if there are only other available room we would change it. The Food is not worth the price. It's very expensive and yet the taste is so tasteless. The resort owner should hire a very Good COOK to compensate the price of their food. The comfort room they should put an exhaust fan and put some albatross to eradicate the foul smell. They also need to do something with their Cable connection for their TV has 1 channel only.

Hillside Resort a very quiet gettaway

The hotel accomodations are very simple and rooms are very rustic but comfortable with air conditioning and nice swimming pool very quiet surroundings, food choices at the restaurant were minimal but a 5 min walk down the street at the Celestial restaurant was a fantastic eatery with terrific menu selection beautiful view and first rate chef of gourmet caliber. Very safe neighbor hood.

Hillside Resort in Palawan

1. The hotel room is not being cleaned on a daily basis. Trash in the room is not being emptied as well. 2. Towels are not being changed everyday, you have to ask for a new towel. 3. There was no toilet paper when we were reassigned to a new room. The first room that was given to us, did not have hot water, the second one it did. 4. The location of the hotel was very far from the city. During our booking it shows that the hotel rooms were nice but did not mentioned how far from the city.
