Good hotel if you’re looking for value for money

The hotel overall was ok - I think despite the few hiccups I had it was a good value for money choice. Checking was incredibly fast, room was ok (some night find very useful that there’s a kitchenette) very small and with a small bed (that was very comfortable). I didn’t hear any noise. However a few things really bothered me: they took forever to set up the WiFi for my room (if you’re on a business trip this is one of the main priorities), there was no remote for the TV, and there were no towels (which I only noticed after I was dripping wet after my shower). Once the WiFi was sorted it was fast enough for Netflix, so definitely on the good side - breakfast was also good. Bottom line is that if you’re looking for a good value for money hotel this is a good decent choice.

Worst place to stay

Receptionist ignored us while sitting in next room busy on her cellphone while we waited to check in and we were assisted by security guard who had to ask her to come and assist us. When we got to the room the pillow and sheets were not clean with black n brown marks all over and i dont even want to talk about shower and towels in bathroom. To top it all when we went' to breakfast in morning there were no seats nor tables available we had to seat at the bar to have breakfast in those high chairs with my 7 months pregnant fiancee I was suppose to stay to nights but checked out after 1 becuase i could not stay there any longer

Nightmare on Urban Park.

Room was noisy and located next to the conference room, I woke up to a happy birthday singing at 06h30 in the morning by the group that had a meeting there.

The hotel room I was in had too much tragic noise from the road.The guest next door made a lot of noise till midnight and then early in the morning.I had a bad sleep.Breakfast food was finished and had to wait.Overall bad service

It was pleasant and exceeded my expectations except for one which was the shower was leaking water when taking a shower. That is being nitpicky and really not a problem so in truth it was just a fantastic place with the friendliest and most helpful stuff

Never again

When I initially booked our room at Urban Park, I requested a sea facing room. This option was on the sight. Upon checking in at around 14:30 we were told our room was not ready yet but they could give us another room with the same set up. We were happy to do this. When I asked if this room was also sea facing I was asked very sarcastically "do you see the ocean here?" We went to our room and I opened the curtains in the bedroom and saw that our view was of the back of the parking lot. We didnt have towels in our bedroom and were told that we will get them after load shedding at 16:00. We eventually got them at 20:30 after my husband had to call and ask again about the towels.

Hotel losing it's charm

Not the first time I stayed at this hotel but certainly the worst. Had an extremely small and dingy room (next to the parking lot and gym) with a leaking roof, plug sockets not working and an old piece of chewing gum stuck to my headboard. Front of house staff were very friendly and swapped out my room - only to another room with a telephone that does not work, more plug sockets that does not work and no towels.

Disappointed stay

First they took over 20 mins to get me checked in and blamed the Hotels.com site. Second they put me in a room that they created from a closed down spa which is in the parking. Third the room was nothing like the discription of what I booked. I had to change rooms twice before I could be put in a room that was suitable, cause either the room fas filthy or the aircon did not work.

Urban Park Express

The hotel is in a good location that's close to the Gateway Mall, near the highway and very quiet. The central air conditioning meant that I had to call reception every time I needed to change the settings. However, the staff was very friendly and helpful throughout my stay. They went the extra mile to meet any requests I had. The complimentary breakfast was fantastic. Definitely good value for money.

It was OK, Our first room was atrocious, no windows and the room was not clean. the guy at check inn was fantastic, he managed to organize us another room after much haggling with him. Our first room had was dirty and had no windows.

Very Basic Stay

Very confusing parking area and to find were and which section my car was parked. The pilot room had a bathroom the size of a plane. Very small. No lamps only a main light. Towels were way too thin.
