Our charming accommodation evoked an era of days gone by. Our room was immaculately clean and comfortable, with a huge spa bathroom, whilst the cupboard was well stocked - including mini gingerbreads, real coffee and plunger. We really appreciated the secure parking and the proximity to shops and restaurants.

The kitchenette was well equipped. Beds and lounge suite were very comfortable. Pay TV availability would have been advantageous as free tv programming very limited.

Loved the location and history of the building and fire engine. Check in was easy and welcoming. Heating and music on. We only stayed one night for an event but had dinner near by, caught city loop bus. Everything was easy and convenient.

Stay was average. Even the though it had blockout curtains light could still come in. There was dust underneath the bed and was not the most comfortable. Parking was great.

Lovely, quaint, comfortable suite. Excellent Spa. Close to Cafes, Restaurants and easy access to Adelaide Attractions.

Unique and amazing

Such an amazing place to stay. Love to go back there someday. Very unique but still homely. Was clean and comfortable. Host was fabulous and very friendly & knowledgeable of the area. Great surroundings. Highly recommend.

We took our two grandchildren for what we hoped would be a totally different, fun holiday. It exceeded our expectations. They never got tired of playing on the truck and dressing up, and we all loved the spa. Perfect for any family.

Very clean, excellent communication. We could have done without scaping the car on the protruding gate trying to get into the tiny car park or someone walking in to clean half an hour early. The first was disappointing and the second was strange because he would have seen the car there. I found the blind in lieu of the door or security gate disconcerting and I didn’t feel that safe there. The shower head also needs a mount that is higher than waist high. However, other than that, it is a really well run property and a lot of thought has gone into it.

Very nice place

Came down from Darwin looking for a nice place to relax for a couple of days, while I was in Adelaide. A perfect location, close to array of cafes and restaurants within walking distance. Having the court yard was a big plus. Very comfortable and the spa, just the best. I would definitely recommend. I'll be back for sure. Only downside for me was the firetruck room wasn't available for my dates, next time .

An Amazing Family Stay in a Truely Unique Hotel

The most fun I've had in a hotel, ever! We took our 2 year old and 6 month old daughter here and it was amazing. We had the fire engine suite. We arrived late at night and my whole family were amazed! We showered and woke up early to play on the huge 1940's engine. It was great. The room was rustic and roomy. It felt like a real fire station. The only thing we didn't think was great was that the price went up from 250 to 380 per night simply because we have 2 children. They sleep with us always and required nothing extra...

One of a kind

The Fire Station Inn is one of a kind and definitely an experience - sleeping in a room with a fore engine and all decorated as an old fire station is great. Unfortunatelly, you can hear the noise from the people and car at the street and neighbors from the adjacent suite, and they can hear you! So not much privacy.

A relaxing and fun time had by my husband, myself and an absolutely magical exciting experience for our 2 turning 3 year old son.
