We had an amzing stay at this heritage property. The cottage was nice and had everything we needed, including a fireplace. The surrounding is beautiful, the kids absolutely loved feeding the animals. The hosts are very accomodating and friendly. We'll definetly come back. It is 12 min from Clare and it's really worth the little drive to enjoy this beautiful property.

The history of this Australian pastoral dynasty is well presented.The homestead is impressive and the guest accommodation in the stables is nicely done.Great to have use of the pool after a long drive.

Historical stay.

Beautiful farm setting, close to the town of Clare. We stayed in the council chambers, lovely restored building. Property is lovely to walk around and explore the many buildings and church. Unfortunately on this occasion we couldn’t make use of the main bathroom and deep soak bathtub as there was a water flow issue, however enjoyed our stay all the same.

Highly recommended

Bungaree offered a friendly welcome, very comfortable self contained accommodation and the bonus of an opportunity to learn about the history of this significant property via walking around the grounds and using listening stations at various points of interest. The property is a short drive from the Clare township but an on property store offers wine and other local products. Breakfast ingredients including fresh eggs were supplied. This is the best place to stay in Clare that we have found to date.

It was such a special treat to stay at Bungaree. There is so much history here and it was lovely to be with nature a d in the country. The kids really enjoyed feeding the animals with Sally.

The history of this property compels you to investigate every building and facility on site. It is still a working farm with sheep cattle and crops. The owners have developed the property to inform and present life as it was to the present day, and it took us hours to investigate everything from the homestead to working outbuildings. Just fantastic!!!

RELAXING AT AN AUSTRALIAN OUTBACK STATION

WE STAYED IN THE STALLION'S BOX, ONE OF THE SEVERAL OUTBUILDINGS ON BUNGAREE STATION. IT WAS NEAT AND CLEAN, WELL SUPPLIED WITH UTENSILS AND FOOD. BUNGAREE STATION IS CLOSE TO CLARE AND HANDY TO A WIDE RANGE OF ATTRACTIONS IN THE WONDERFUL CLARE VALLEY. THE MANAGER WAS VERY WELCOMING AND ANSWERED ALL OUR QUESTIONS, AND, ON HER RECOMMENDATION, WE ENJOYED A RELAXING, ONE-HOUR WALK AROUND THE PERIMETER OF THE STATION IN THE COOL OF THE EARLY EVENING. THE WIDE ARRAY OF OLD FARM MACHINERY, AS WELL AS THE HISTORY IN THE LARGE WOOLSHED, WERE EXTREMELY INTERESTING, AND GAVE US A MUCH DEEPER APPRECIATION FOR THE PIONEERS OF THE AUSTRALIAN BUSH.

The host was very welcoming and provided me with a lot of information about Bungaree Station and the surrounding area. He provided me with recommendations for historic sites to visits and great restaurants The farm breakfast supplied was plentiful Although there is minimal internet coverage it was wonderful to get away from the world and social media. Heritage Country Comfort with all the trimmings

The only downfall of our stay was that it wasn’t longer! Amazing heritage accomodation with every comfort provided - from a warming wood fire, heat in every bedroom & electric blankets on all beds, to full kitchen and BBQ provisions. The breakfast was substantial with eggs, bacon, cereal, toast & condiments & quaint Bungaree Station store provides a ripper coffee & local Clare Valley treats. Feeding the animals was a real treat as was spending some time with the owners - providing some of the friendliest country hospitality you could hope to expect. Our family of 7 had a wonderful stay and really can’t promote this exceptional property enough - do yourself a favour & stay at Bungaree. You won’t be disappointed!

This property is beautiful, full of history and charm. The refurbished stone buildings have been beautifully restored. They have modern amenities and are are exceptionally clean and comfortable. The historical walk around the property is well worth doing as the family has gone to great effort to provide historical information in the form of written signs, audio and some video clips. There is even a small shop where guests can buy provisions. The staff were very helpful, informative and welcoming. We would definitely stay at Bungaree Station again.

Quality of the accommodation was excellent and a great quiet farm setting. The communication and service from Vicky was great, as was the home made curry we ordered. Highly recommended.
