This stay was amazing! Check-in was so easy, the room itself was so clean and exactly what we were looking for. I highly recommend this place when in Apalachicola !!! Wish we were staying more than just one night!!

Disappointing Stay at The Foundry Room The booking process was easy, but unfortunately, the experience and communication after booking left a lot to be desired. Any communication we did receive was extremely slow and not helpful, making it difficult to get assistance when needed. The keyless door locks were tricky to operate and took several attempts to get them to unlock. For a three-night stay, we were provided with only one towel per person. The room also lacked several basic amenities, including a hair dryer and an iron/ironing board. The shower product dispensers were empty. Only two pillows on the bed. There is a Keurig coffee maker, microwave, and mini fridge, which were appreciated, but the overall amenities were very limited. The biggest issue occurred on Friday, when Hurricane Isaias was passing through. During the storm, both windows in our room began leaking water, to the point that we had to use the bath mat, hand towels, and even a trash can to catch and soak up the water. We have video evidence documenting the situation. Unfortunately, with the lack of responsiveness from the host, we didn’t feel there was much point in reaching out for help. On a positive side, the building is beautifully restored, the bed was comfortable, and we enjoy visiting Apalachicola. However, better communication, maintenance, and amenities are needed. We’re glad we kept our travel plans, but based on this experience, there are better places to stay!

The property had a great location in the town and was renovated nicely in an old building. The room was renovated very well. There were several issues that were experienced during my stay. First off the AC was not working very well and unable to keep the small room comfortable. The weather outside was very hot and humid. The AC not keeping the humidity down in the room caused the bedding (sheets, pillowcases, comforter, etc.) to have an unpleasant smell. The second item was that there was no cleaning service or replenishment of towels (there were two of us and they only had two towels for our entire stay). The shampoo and body wash dispensers were empty. The zero touch administration of the hotel was great in some ways (easy check in, access codes to gain entry into building and room), but using the process to get in touch with someone for any issues got no response. The automated touch pad door locks were flaky and sometimes took five or six tries before the door would lock (had seen in other reviews this was a problem for others as well). This is a great in town location and the room was nice. A little more responsiveness to messages sent with questions about issues would have made the experience better.

The room was clean and very convenient to downtown Apalachicola. The only major issues were that the AC did not work the entire time of our stay and we were locked out of the main entrance. We reported the AC problem and never received a call back or response. The digital lock had to be reset and finally we were able to access our room to check out.

Our stay at The Montgomery was amazing. The room was very lovely and the decor was very unique. The bed was very comfortable and I slept peacefully. We only spent one night but I want to return for a long weekend. Thank you!

We loved the spacious room and the location near the center of Appalachicola. The place is clean, has a very comfortable bed, closet, coffee maker, mini fridge, and microwave. The bathroom has two sinks and a big shower box. We only spent one night and cannot tell if they clean the room every day. There’s no staff, frontdesk, nor kitchen with breakfast. We could not manage the channels on the TV. The self serve checking was a bit tricky, but manageable. I didn’t like the steep staircase (no elevator), but do recommend the place.
